Oh well we simply cannot agree on every single thing I suppose Suzi

Now that would be boring wouldn't it Cate?!? Maybe I should get some Six Feet Under eps and he might grow on me. I really hate stubble and Dexter has heaps of stubble! I have watched several full episodes of Dexter up to when the 'burial' grounds were discovered but it just didn't grab me.

Dexter Siblings Date In real life

Dexter star Michael C. Hall is secretly dating his onscreen sister Jennifer Carpenter, despite the disapproval of their TV bosses.

The pair plays siblings Dexter and Debra Morgan in the hit series, about a cop who secretly murders serial killers.

And, according to the National Enquirer, Hall and Carpenter are an odd item in real life. They've been dating for almost a year, after Hall separated from his wife Amy Spangler.

The couple has even moved in together, angering bosses at U.S. cable network Showtime, who fear the romance will confuse fans of the show.

A source says, "For months they tried to keep the romance a secret by going to out-of-the-way places and avoiding each other on the set. They still refuse to acknowledge they're in a relationship, but everyone on the set knows they're together."

Yeah..you can see they get along really well in show, its the way they look at each other.
I don't get confused about what is acting and what is real life.
Guess if/when they brake up in real life he will kill her in the show

Anyone else have a Six Feet Under-Billy/Brenda moment when they read that? Yes, I know they are not related in real life, but all I see is Dexter and Deb.....

Dexter -- doesnt make a whole lot of sense

I found this interesting article on Dexter at the blog link below:

Dexter keeps going on about how he is "empty inside"... but he delights in power tripping and killing people... So, in other words, he's not so emotionally dead. He's probably more "alive" than any of the mediocre personalities on the show.
Killing people and getting away with it, reflecting on what a powerful, smart and sneaky bastard you are (Im just guessing here) probably give you a big emotional high. So of course he is "emotionally dead" in the mundane world of surburban family life.

Dexter is what most people call a psychopath/sociopath, what this is really a code for is .....

Interesting point of view... however, every psychopath/sociopath is different!  They are all twisted in opposite directions to each other, otherwise they would be easy to catch

This guy seems to be following the popular beliefs about these individuals, garnered from novels, movies and tv for his theory

Not all of them speed up before self-destruction .. look at BTK or even John Wayne Gacey ... John was a fully functioning member of society, beloved by local charities & only captured through a malfunctioned sewage pump underneath his house, which made him get rid of the next victim's body somewhere else

Regardless, I like the programme
