My parents told me Santa wasn't real from day 1. They didn't want to lie. What they failed to do though, was explain that other kids believed, and I shouldn't ruin it for others - oops!
Even though I never believed, I'd still leave cookies and a drink out just for fun. So hows about you? |

was the kid in the street your neighbours feared and was the one that broke the news to the other kids that Santa didn't exist |

Of course I did! When I was growing up in the 50's and 60's it was a huge thing and everyone around me participated in the Santa Claus myth. Either in perpetuating the myth or believing in it. It was fun and it was harmless. My Daddy had fun drinking the beer or whisky (rarely a drinker) and a few biscuits left out for Santa. Christmas, to me, is all about Children. What a joy it is to see children's faces and reactions on Christmas morning. |

Not really Santa related, but its close enough. In an attempt to get my parents to give me money, I snuck my tooth under my pillow. I forgot about it completely until like a week later, and my tooth was still there lol. I was about 5 or 6 at the time lol. |

Yeah I did. When I was eleven I asked my mum if he was true and she said he wasn't. I wasn't shocked just lost a little respect of my mum for lying to me. |

I used to tell my kids when they began to realise that Santa wasn't the real deal that IF they didn't believe in Santa then they would not recieve any presents from Santa. They knew which side their bread was buttered on! Santa still exists in our Christmas celebrations. |

yes i believed in santa until i was about 8 years of age. my mother use to trick me into believing in santa. like why was mum buying gifts if santa delivers presents. mum said well santa only delivers to all the children of the world not the adults. it's amazing what you fall for as a child.

I certainly did. But I don't recall when I realised the truth. I must have already got used to life not being everything I thought it was. I think I was 8 or 10 when I found out police and robbers were real things |

I believed in Father Christmas until I was about 7 and had no idea who Santa was until I was 6 and moved here. |

Of course! I believed until I was about 8 or 9 and then all the kids start saying he's not real.. I would debate it. Lol and then it becomes nerdy to say "I believe!" I think I continued to believe until I was about 10/11 at home however, it was 13 to my mum.. haha until she realised it was for the EXTRA present.. and my aunt caught on and told her.. haha - damn it.. Today.. I believe in that special magic at christmas |

| Yesterday while on the stairs, I saw a Man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today...I wish that He would go away!! |

My mum told me when her little brother was 9, someone told him Santa was not real...apparently he cried for hours!!! Now he is a big burly 50 year old man and his siblings have never let him forget it!! |
