I used to tell my kids when they began to realise that Santa wasn't the real deal that IF they didn't believe in Santa then they would not recieve any presents from Santa. They knew which side their bread was buttered on! Santa still exists in our Christmas celebrations.

yes i believed in santa until i was about 8 years of age. my mother use to trick me into believing in santa. like why was mum buying gifts if santa delivers presents. mum said well santa only delivers to all the children of the world not the adults. it's amazing what you fall for as a child.
