It always baffled me why girls would go for 'not so atttractive' guys (I doubt that their personalities are that good) just because they were famous or had money whereas if they weren't famous or rich they wouldn't even 'do the proverbial' on them if they were on fire. Then again guys go for girls based on looks so I guess it's even.

It's a lot more uncommon to see a good looking guy date a rich or famous 'not so attractive' or older woman. In that respect guys aren't that shallow.

Forget famous, it's the money. It doesn't matter if you're old, fat, ugly, bald, short, tall, etc if you've got a big roll of cash you've got a glamour.... Probably glamours actually!

Exactly..... consider.... Hugh Heffner, Donald Trump, Rupert Murdoch, the old geezer Anna Nicole married.... I am sure I could name more but couldn't be bothered but you get my drift!

I love reading X452's, Aquamonkey's, and even sillygostly's posts in these types of threads and Simpson when he posts is a gem! Their take on these things is so confrontingly honest!

"We don't usually see much of Sophie out and about around town but I'm sure that Nicole will show her the ropes ... you know, all the right coffee shops, stores and outdoor eateries to be seen at. Sophie appears well on her way to Hollywood "It" Girldom" (pinkisthenewblog.com)

... Its weird to think lil ol' aussie Sophie from the Gold Coast .. started in Bardot...lmao - once worked at movie world could seriously be the next hollywood 'IT' girl..  oh well, good on her!

I saw Sophie years ago at Movie World where she was in character as  Marilyn Monroe and looked just like her! I am happy she has Nicole as her friend and not a skanky friend (of which we can think of a few). I think Nicole Richie has better morals and is not a publicity hog like some others. Plus I am sure Nicole wears panties! Neither of them in that photo look like they have any make up on... how refreshing!

I am the victim: Fiennes

February 18, 2007 12:15am

ACTOR Ralph Fiennes considers himself the victim of a sexual aggressor over the mile-high sex scandal.

The star's publicist yesterday angrily broke a week-long silence from the Fiennes camp to tell the actor's side of an increasingly sordid story. Media manager Sara Keene declared air stewardess Lisa Robertson instigated the incident in the toilet cubicle of a Qantas Airbus on a flight between Darwin and Mumbai.
"She initiated the encounter," she said, the first confirmation from the Fiennes camp that an incident did occur.

"This woman seduced him on a plane. She was the sexual aggressor.

"Yet she said in her official statement (to employer Qantas) that he initiated it . . . and virtually accused him of forcing himself upon her."

Asked if this meant Fiennes considered himself blameless, his PR manager reverted to her standard line: "I never comment on his personal life. I wouldn't comment on his actions."

She also refused to either confirm or deny allegations Fiennes and Ms Robertson spent a passionate night together once the plane had touched down in Mumbai.

When asked if Fiennes could have turned down an apparent offer to join Ms Robertson in the toilet cubicle, Ms Keene said: "Of course he could have said no.

"The point I am making is she initiated it. He didn't force himself upon her."

It was reported yesterday Ms Robertson, a divorced former NSW undercover drug squad officer, had sold her story to a women's magazine. The reports also said several colleagues on the jet saw her enter the cramped toilet cubicle with Fiennes.

"Everybody knew she was in there with Fiennes," a flight attendant said on Friday. "It's sort of being portrayed likes Fiennes was all over her, but it was the other way around.

"She was pouring him drinks and paying him lots of attention."

Another attendant said Ms Robertson had "asked a colleague to keep a lookout, but they refused".

Ms Robertson reportedly told friends she recognised the 44-year-old star of The English Patient  when he got on the plane and gave him her phone number.

Her friends also say she told them she was so overwhelmed by the moment she did not care who was listening, what they saw or what they assumed was going on.

Fiennes held early morning crisis talks with his London-based publicist from his hotel room in Bruges, where he is shooting a film with Hollywood bad boy Colin Farrell as fallout from the incident continued to land.

Ms Keene – who represents other celebrity clients including Jude Law and Kate Winslet – said Fiennes should not be expected to make any comment in defence of the honour of Ms Robertson.

And he should feel no guilt if Ms Robertson is either sacked from or quits Qantas, she said.

Ms Keene said the flight attendant had changed her version of events at least twice and had sold versions of her story to the highest bidder while Fiennes had kept a dignified silence.

"If you pay all the money in the world it wouldn't buy him," Ms Keene said of her client.

"There's not enough money in the world that will make him respond in person.

"He never has, he's never going to. The story is over now as far as we are concerned."

The tired actor spent the evening standing in a picturesque market square in Bruges watching mate Farrell and a female co-star kiss for the cameras.

He smiled widely as the director offered notorious ladies' man Farrell and his female companion hints on how to smooch better.

Ms Keene said she was personally angry at the way Ms Robertson had acted.

"I'm glad she's telling the truth at last. They are my words, not Ralph's," she said.

Approached on the street yesterday, Fiennes refused to comment.

If this is true, then the woman is a fool.  Then again, he's yummy; I'd try to seduce him were I unattached.

The sorry saga of Anna Nicole's life, death, baby's parentage, final resting place wishes is being aired for all the world to see. Reading today's news her Mother claims what Anna's husband has said about Anna being
"always obsessed with her own death and expected to die young, just like her hero, Marilyn Monroe" the estranged Mother of Anna said you couldn't make her believe that, she was always too full of life! ROFLMTO. What a load of hog wash. I believe Howard on that one.
The fact that no-one is listening to her legal next of kin, Howard Stern, on where Anna wants to be laid to rest... next to her son.... goes to show how screwed up the legal system actually is, in the USA. How the hell can a mother who hadn't seen her daughter for over 10 years know what that daughter wanted? Anna spat venom when speaking of her mother and hated her passionately.

Anna Nicole's mother wants grandson exhumed

February 22, 2007 - 7:37AM

Anna Nicole Smith's estranged mother has told a judge she wants to exhume her grandson in the Bahamas and bring his body to Texas to be buried along with his starlet mother in her native state.

Smith's longtime companion, Howard Stern, is fighting for the former Playboy centrefold to be buried next to her son in the island chain, where he died from apparent drug-related causes last year.

Smith was the widow of Texas oil tycoon J Howard Marshall II. The two married in 1994 when he was 89 and she was 26. She had been fighting his family over his estimated $US500 million ($A637 million) fortune since his death in 1995.

On the second day of testimony in Florida, Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin indicated the best result would be a compromise - and soon - since the medical examiner again warned that Smith's body was decomposing more quickly than expected and a public viewing could be in danger.

"When you walked into the court, you hope to get everything," Seidlin said. "We will try to fashion a remedy where not everyone gets everything they want."

Smith died on February 8 at age 39. Her cause of death is under investigation.

Without written proof of Smith's wishes, Seidlin was forced to hear testimony from those who claim to know what she wanted.

Also at issue in a California court on the opposite side of the US is who fathered Smith's five-month-old daughter, Dannielynn, who could inherit millions of dollars. Stern is listed as the father on the birth certificate, but a photographer who once dated Smith says the girl is his.

Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, testified that although she had not seen her daughter since 1996, they spoke on the phone more frequently. She cried as she spoke about her relationship with Smith and her 20-year-old grandson's death.

She also disputed Stern's testimony yesterday that Smith was always obsessed with her own death and expected to die young, just like her hero, Marilyn Monroe, who was 36 when she died in 1962.

"You can't make me believe that. She was too full of life. She loved life," she said.

Yesterday, Arthur had testified that drugs soured her relationship with her daughter. Arthur said the two talked only every few months and that Smith often called her in the middle of the night sounding "drugged".

Arthur's lawyer, John O'Quinn, said on CBS television's The Early Show today that Stern caused Smith's drug problems, and that she was "egged on to say things sensational" about her relationship with her mother.

Stern earlier testified Smith never recovered from her son's death. He said a grief-stricken Smith threw herself over his body as he lay in a coffin in the Bahamas, wailing, "If Daniel has to be buried, I want to buried with him".

Stern lawyer Krista Barth said she had bank documentation proving Smith had agreed to pay for two cemetery plots in Nassau. She showed an Entertainment Tonight television interview in which Smith expressed hatred for her estranged mother.

Poor Anna, even if she was crazy as a two bob watch she doesn't deserve to be put in cold storage while people argue where she should be buried and her baby doesn't deserve to be passed around like she is with paternity pending. Even in death Anna is still in court!

Confrontingly honest is that we too would have incredibly difficult lives if we were followed around by competing camera crews and could generally only ever find cruel things about ourselves at every turn when doing normal day to day things such as watching the news or participating on an internet forum, and if not being scolded then being worshiped.  It's no wonder that people have a difficult time finding a balance in this respect.

I've never seen such holier than thou attitude and gossip drooling as when Britney shaved her head after a day in rehab... best thing that happened to some of us since Star Wars, but for us the moment passes and has served our selfish purpose.  Not so for our brother or sister who we've then already disregarded.  It's sometimes really easy to see the sincere evil in the grin of the newsreader as well as some of our posts.

So let's wait for the news and see what sort of rumours are reported and if the internet gossip crap my wife read was true or not.
