Sharon Stone calls China quake karma May 27, 2008 11:05am
ACTOR Sharon Stone is is strife after claiming the Chinese earthquake which claimed the lives of 80,000 people was "karma".
Stone made the not so smart statement while on the red carpet in Cannes.
She was asked if she had heard about the disaster that hit China recently, and her answer was:
"Of course I have. Well you know at first I thought I'm not happy with the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans….and I've been concerned with should we have the Olympics because they're not being nice to the Dalai Lama who's a good friend of mine.
" And then all this earthquake and stuff happened and I thought, 'Is that Karma, when you're not nice and the bad things happen to you?'"
In a gaffe of similar proportion, sex tape star Kim Kardashian was videoed making a joke about the Burmese cyclone which claimed the lives of 134,000 dead and left 2.4 million in need of aid.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashian's reality star caused another stir yesterday when she mooned the camera in a shocking new episode of her show.
The clip quickly became a huge hit with online readers, even managing to cast a shadow over the other big event of the day, NASA'S search for life on Mars.
Ms.Stone is just one of many celebs who put their foot in their mouths every time they open it! I don't particularly like the woman and I am sure the Dalai Lama would, as a devout Buddhist, be horrified she said that!

Gotta love in when celebs prove they should keep their big mouths shut!

Paul Newman told friends about cancer a year ago Article from: Reuters article: Alex Dobuzinskis June 12, 2008 09:06am
ACTOR Paul Newman told friends as far back as 18 months ago that he was battling cancer but has remained energetic and active in charity work.
Writer A.E. Hotchner, who co-founded Newman's Own food products with the actor, told Reuters that Newman, 83, was doing fine as of two weeks ago. Asked if Newman had cancer, Hotchner said "he made it known to a lot of his friends."
Hotchner, who lives near Newman and his wife, actress Joanne Woodward, in Westport, Connecticut, said he did not know what type of cancer Newman had because "I don't believe it's any of my business and I don't want to get into it."
The widely acclaimed actor of films such as The Colour of Money and The Sting yesterday responded to a flurry of unconfirmed media reports that he was gravely ill with cancer by issuing a terse statement saying he was "doing nicely."
According to numerous reports, Newman has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is undergoing outpatient treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York.
A spokeswoman for Sloan-Kettering has said she had no information about whether Newman was a patient there.
Last month, Newman stepped down as director of a stage play of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men at the Westport Country Playhouse in Connecticut, citing unspecified health issues.
Are you wondering (like me) about this babies name? Found this explanation, from the grandfather.....
One day after the baby's birth, Antony Kidman told the Daily Telegraph Tuesday that he and his wife suggested the name, inspired by Australian artist Sidney Nolan's muse, Sunday Reed.
"There was a lady named Sunday Reed who was a prominent patron of the arts in Victoria," Kidman told the Daily Telegraph.
"I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John — she was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century," he said. "The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it."
The connection could be the reason behind Oscar-winning actress Kidman and her husband, country music star Keith Urban's keen interest in a Sidney Nolan exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales shortly before they announced the pregnancy.
The January exhibition featured a quote about birth from Nolan which was scrawled across a wall. "When you are young you are given a good view of life, because of your closeness to birth." Urban's brother Shane told a Sunshine Coast radio station that the baby's second name is a tribute to their late grandmother Rose.

HEHEHEH I get it but anyone who doesn't watch the wonderful Battlestar Galactica wont. Is 7 the blonde (who I love) or is she 6? I think Sunday is not such a great name. I like Angelina's choices better.
It was actually a Seinfeld reference; George had plans to call his firstborn "7" to which Jerry responds "Seven? Yeah, I guess I could see it. Seven. Seven periods of school, seven beatings a day. Roughly seven stitches a beating, and eventually seven years to life. Yeah, you're doing that child quite a service."

So harking back to Battlestar Galactica... is the blonde 6 of 7 (originally)?
Thinking about 'Brangelina' how wonderful of them to donate that ridiculous amount of money paid to them by whoever for pics of Knox and Vivienne, to Charity. Just as it should be. Brad and Angelina do so much good in this world and in their own little world as well with their family. More power to good and generous people like them.
I love the character Seven of Nine in Startrek Voyager...she was human who was assimilated by the Borg Collective, but trying to live with humans again. She is blonde. (Jeri Ryan.)
Yes Suzi, I agree....the 'Brangelina Bunch' do do a lot to develop the idea of family.
