Pamela Anderson files for divorce from Rick Salomon

THE 40-year-old former Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from her 38-year-old husband, Rick Salomon, after just two months of marriage.
Anderson cited irreconcilable differences in papers filed last Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The documents were first obtained by the celebrity Web site CelebTV.com.

Anderson and Salomon wed on October 6 in Las Vegas during a break between shows of Hans Klok's The Beauty of Magic at the Planet Hollywood resort, where Anderson was starring as a magician's assistant. The couple separated less than 10 weeks later, on December 13.

Salomon is best known for making a sex videotape with Paris Hilton, his girlfriend at the time, and was previously married to actress Shannen Doherty. Anderson was previously married to singer Kid Rock and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Associated Press reports.

TV star attempts suicide after sacking

ONE of the longest-serving stars on hit TV drama The Bill, Jeff Stewart, has tried to kill himself after being sacked from the show.
Stewart, who played the popular character PC Reg Hollis, slashed his wrists yesterday after being told his contract would not be renewed, The Sun newspaper reported.

The 52-year-old actor was the only original 1984 cast member left on the show, which is one of ABC TV's most popular programs.

Stewart cut his wrists in his dressing room at the south London studios where the show is filmed but then telephoned for help.

Security staff found him and called an ambulance.

The decision to sack Stewart came after he was suspended for a week from the show shortly before Christmas following a furious on-set outburst.

An unnamed source linked to the program told the newspaper that Stewart's suicide bid had been "a desperate cry for help''.

"It's extremely sad,'' the source said

"He is in hospital and is being cared for.''

Bill star Stewart out of hospital  

The Bill actor Jeff Stewart, who plays PC Reg Hollis in the ITV police drama, was treated in hospital after an incident on set on Tuesday.
An ambulance was called to the studios in Merton, south-west London.

A spokeswoman for the show confirmed "an incident" took place and that Stewart is not currently in hospital. A further statement is due shortly.

Press reports said the 52-year-old star harmed himself after being told his contract would not be renewed.

Stewart has been in the show since it began in 1984.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We got a call at 5.50pm last night to an address at Deer Park Road, SW19.

"We sent an ambulance and our staff treated an adult male and took him to hospital."

Stewart, from Aberdeen, Scotland, has also had minor roles in Crossroads, Doctor Who, Hi De Hi and Minder.

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has appeared unsteady on her feet as she rushed into a British court almost missing her husband's appearance.

Sporting her new bottle-blonde hairstyle, the slightly built performer blew several kisses at Blake Fielder-Civil who's facing assault and conspiracy charges.

He's pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing to causing grievous bodily harm with intent to pub landlord James King.

Fielder-Civil also faces an allegation that he conspired with his alleged victim to pervert the course of justice.

A five-week trial is due to begin on June 2.
