I cannot go wrong with Windows Media Player 11 Beta 2. Top stuff, easy to use, quick... awesome! Can't wait for Media Centre as well

I was getting some compatibility issues with v11 beta 2 and although I could still use it I found it abit anoying. I couldn't find anyway to remove or downgrade it too. Coincidently, I had to format my pc on the wkend which gave me the chance to go back to v10.

i have a few players , but i still like to use WMP for general playing as my main player .
the only downfall is - it takes up too much comp power for what it does & and generally lags , if used even mildly...especially that play slider with mp3 or video !!

but i find it a lesser pain in the ar*e than most of the other ones , i can't stand the 2 screens in 1 players with all there fancy non 'self explanatory' option buttons ... just like a modern day freakin car stereo - and they need some re-designing !
real player annoys me too.

mplayer does it all but I only use it for embedded web video and when something is stubborn in Totem.  I still use XXMS for music and Xine sometimes for video.

Very happy with WMP11 much better than the all round disappointment that was 10. I just which it came with a silver colour scheme like office 2007 does
