Pop music is really at a low point at the moment, lets hope it picks up soon with the rush of singles and albums that are normally released in time for Christmas.

What is a hip-shaking, Latin Grammy-sweeping superstar to do when she cannot find a suitable stadium to play in Caracas? If you are Shakira, you get in touch with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, and get yourself an air base.

That actually doesn't supprise me.  Chavez is such a grandstander that it was a logical thing for Shakira to do.  She'd have a fan base there that would make anything in the western world look pale.  I want to go just to hear the crowd scream and I'm not a huge fan lol.

I'm not a huge fan either.  I think her dancing is better than her singing.   I'm trying to be positive here.

We are what we repeatedly do.  Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.
