Hi "anyone" out there incyber space

I have a seperate back up drive (USB Plugin) and would like to know how to backup my emails in  MS outlook to that drive so I can
1. Have readable copy on the backup drive and
2. safely delete emails from my 'C' drive

can anyone help here

Greatly appreciate Tony

Ok, looking at your request it seems that you are after the ability to backup your emails

You will still use the 'C' drive as your default Inbox, but simply want to have an alternate area (your USB device) to use for archive purposes

This is quite easy.

First select the Archive option from Outlook

Then select your USB drive as the place for the Archive folder

You can also select other options here, such as which folders to archive and when to archive from.

Note that some folders have the "Dont archive" option set, but this can be overriden by selecting the "Include items..." checkbox

Just make sure you dont delete the archive file on your USB device!
The file will also have to be writeable...if its read-only you won't be able to access it.
