In researching if this was genuine or fake I certainly came across some nasty stuff in boards and blogs that's for sure. If they DID use cluster bombs, I wonder where they got them from? Lets see:

Anyone see that news clip in QLD with the two parents who questioned Howard over why he sent their 2 children (and other people's children) to a war where they are not defending their country? Howard responded by saying something like "well that is your opinion and I respect that". The parents went on to say "it's not your children that your sending to war", and Howard (shamefully) replied "my children didn't choose the military as their career". It was such a disgusting response from a cold and callous man.
Yes when you join the military you have to expect that you may be sent into combat or peace keeping missions where it can be dangerous, but as the head of the military the Prime Minister should consider everyone in the military as his children, not as expendable pieces of worthless crap.

There were a few nasty things we were doing such as stealing oil from our poor neighbour East Timor but we were keeping our noses clean and not interfering internationally where we were not wanted. A predictably simplistic right-wing response to this would be:
"So you would rather live in a country where they cut your hands off for stealing, and kill you for dissenting against the government? Why don't you move to Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan then, since you hate Anglo Saxon's and western culture so much."

Well not a Divine victory but they did have one of sorts and militarily they came out the better. Right now it is Hizbollah that is mostly helping to rebuild the shattered Lebanese lives, giving aid and rebuilding hospitals and schools. So who do you think the Lebanese people will see as right in this attack by Israel?
Hizbollah, completely outnumbered and only armed with very old Soviet weapons faced the most modern and hardened army in the world. With all that technology thrown against them and even the US directly helping Israel by arming it with some terrible weapons, Hizbollah saw the Israeli's leave without completing their stated mission of wiping Hizbollah off the Lebanese map.
I am not and never will be a supporter Hizbollah and want to see them detroyed, but how Israel went about it was wrong on every front and even they admit they lost far more soldiers than they had anticipated and the war was taking much longer than they had planned, so much so that America had to step in and rearm Israel.
Might not have been a Divine victory, but many more Arabs were turned to the cause and Hizbollah's status in their eyes was raised now they have taken on the might of Israel and the US three times and fought them to a kind of stalemate. That is the reality of it.

I find it very sad that today's media do not present Hezbollah and other resistance groups for what they are.
They are the same as:

- The IRA
- The American army in their War of Independence led by George Washington
- the Mao Mao led by Kenyatta, later PM of Kenya

Israeli forces crossed from southern Lebanon to begin the last phase of their withdrawal under a UN resolution to end a war with Hezbollah, according to an an Israeli security source.
