Quoted from SBro

Ch7 need to give it back to Ch10.

The longer the season goes on the more and more you are correct. Cutting the race early in NZ because of football commitments beggars belief.

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”

Is it just me or is channel 7's telecast of the v8's DREADFUL to put it nicely....they miss almost every single accident that happens....and when they flick to the pit crew who are relying on them to see what has happened to their driver, they have nothing to see cause channel 7 are never in the right place at the right time.  At least channel 10 did a good job on their coverage....God help us when bathurst comes around, who knows how much we'll miss with that one.

Whincup snares Clipsal 500

Ford's Jamie Whincup completed a superb opening round of the V8 Supercar series with a victory in race two of the Clipsal 500 race in Adelaide on Sunday afternoon.

After winning yesterday's opening race, Whincup again dominated the field to win the second 250-kilometre race.

Whincup, last season's runner-up to Holden's Garth Tander, finished first ahead of Lee Holdsworth with Cameron McConville clinching third place.

But the weekend was marred by two incidents which have left three drivers hospitalised.

Ashley Cooper, 27, remains on life support in the Royal Adelaide Hospital after a crash yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, Matt Kingsley from Queensland is in a critical condition following another crash this morning.

Craig Dontas and former rugby league player Jack Elsegood are in a stable condition and are expected to be released from hospital today.

The South Australian Premier Mike Rann says he feared crashes as serious as these over the event's 10-year history.

"We take massive precautions. We walk the drivers and the officials through the course," he said.

"The course here is accredited to the very highest safety standards in the world and is in fact constantly re-evaluated and rechecked... but there's going to be an inquiry, there should be an inquiry and we'll do whatever is necessary."

Since Ford have removed their support from a couple of teams for next year i thought a good Place to turn to for craig Lowndes would be to have Kleenex sponser him, considering he's always crying about something or someone....lol
