I have been watching the Australian Touring Cars since 1972.
To me, Motor racing is more about the guy behind the wheel than the car. In fact, if I am a fan of a particular driver, I could not give a figue about what brand of car he is driving.
I watched F1 for about 10 years from the late 80's. I got tired of it.
Indy cars leaves me cold.
I have a feeling that the Americans feel the same about their Nascar as we do about our V8 Supercars. But as I don't know anything about the drivers in Nascar, I cannot get excited about it.
NASCAR it is the fastest, toughest, hardest, most spectacular form of motorsport on the planet with a bigger following & more spectators than anything else ---closely followed by NHRA drag racing, you have to respect the guys who build TOP FUELERS as well as their drivers cheers Ian by the way--the foxsport coverage of both is xlnt (free to air tv dont know about nascar or nhra yet )
gotta say i voted F1 from the options above ..dont mind Rally either.
but what is'nt there, is the DRAGS ! ... which would've been 1st for me
Nascar to me is zzz zzz , i dont find it at all that spetacular, infact overly boring as ! ...as for the fastest - you forgot about drags already, put that up against a high 4 sec pass - top fuel drag lol ( ok , for straight line lmao ) but with nascar, i'd rather watch v8 super cars myself, and i find them boring enough ..holden /ford..ford/holden ... gone are the days of other competition in it , nissan- chrysler etc .
Im a V8 fan myself not fused on Indy and looking forward to this years series hope Ch7 do the right thing by the fans and show all the races, if its as good as TENs coverage I will be happy

hate all motor sports! think it is a waste of time and very dangerous and gives young people stupid ideas out on the road where they treat the road as a race track. banned the sport, too many are getting killed.
