Channel Ten has the exclusive Australian live rights to all rounds of the 2006-2010 Formula One World Championship. This also includes the rights to show Practice and Qualifying sessions and the rights to telecast highlights from all rounds. In 2005 Practice and Qualifying was only shown for the Australian GP and the only races that were shown live in 2005 were the Chinese (AEST), Australian, Japanese, Brazilian Canadian and US GP's. We want Qualifying to be shown for every round and we want FULL coverage of the Japanese GP to be shown after Bathurst or at 10:30pm.
This is what we want Australian GP Friday Practice 1 Practice 2
Saturday Practice 3 (Live in every state) Qualifying (Live in every state)
Sunday Race (Live in every state)
Malaysian GP Saturday Qualifying (live in every state)
Sunday Race (live in WA and delayed to other states)
Canadian, US, Chinese and Brazilian GP's Saturday Qualifying (live in every state)
Sunday Races (live in every state)
Japanese Saturday Qualifying (After Bathurst)
Sunday Race (FULL coverage after Bathurst or 10:30pm)
Other Rounds Qualifying (after Saturday night movie) Races (No later than 10:30pm)
You know, on behalf of you and your whinging, I missed out on the US grand prix because you apparrently moved the timeslot to something that was more 'convenient' for you. You also made heaps of people either wake up earlier or miss it because they set the recoreder scheduler to the wrong time.

Thanks a lot... pfft!
What?! I can not believe what I am hearing. You are trying to blame me for you missing the race. The US GP was scheduled to be shown live but the US GP was moved ahead by 1 hour and Channel Ten didn't know. I have know about the starting time for the US GP for weeks or mounths so why didn't they know? The 2006 US GP was scheduled to start at 1 hour delayed on 10 at 1:45am (WST). When I saw the TV times 1 or 2 weeks before I rang Ch 10 to tell them that they had made a mistake and I asked them to fix the problem but as usual they couldn't admit to there mistakes and just made stupid excuses. That is what I thought at the time but I think it was because the person that I was speaking to was just stupid and had no idea what she was talking about. The times were corected and it was scheduled to be shown live. Big Brother was on the same night that the race was on and it went 10-15 minuets overtime but they had over 4 hours to make up that time. They usually have a 15 minuets preview but they started the US GP telecast 10 minuets late only leaving 5 minuets until the race started. Instead of cutting the preview short they continued with there usual 15 minuet preview delaying the race by 10 minuets. Ch 10 had the corected times on RPM. I know not everyone watches RPM. They should of ran adds and/or told the editers for the TV guides on the net, magazines and newspapers. I'm not the one who made the stupid mistake so don't blame me!
You can not speak for everyone. I told everyone what I did on the RPM forum and nobody blamed me. They blamed Ch 10 because it was there mistake not mine.

Channel Ten is a waste of space and the joke of Australian TV!
According to sources, TEN will significantly improve the F1 coverage next year, thanks to more cashflow coming in after the loss of rights to the V8s.
Yeah, there better be. All they have to do is show the prac/qualy sessions late night, but i'm happy with the current events only because we only miss 1 or 2 laps in total. (excluding Monza where they skipped laps out just to fit the press conference in......alll they had to do was not show 1 ad segment and it would of worked out, just like the Hungarian GP this year)
Channel ten is [coarse expletive deleted - mod edit] , whilst the Malaysian Grand Prix is running on Sunday afternoon (remember no more chashes with clipsal), they are putting on city slickers II. Its not as if they are losing australian idol for it. Then the race is on at 10:40 for 1 hour and 55 mins, as opposed to last years 2 and a half hours so stuff will be cut out.
Does anybody in this country know how to subscribe to itv because I have had it with channel tens coverage
Bararab, this is a PG forum, please do not use such coarse language in the future- thanks, Paula
I can sort of understand why we dont get live qualifying because of the bigger AFL audience for Saturdays programming. . . and so once again, I will revert to good old Formula1.com for the live timing.
But to have City Slickers II screened on Sunday afternoon - as I said, its insulting. It just shows that the message isnt getting through.
I would like to see FOM stricking a deal similar to many of the football deals. Give free to air the first right to screen live, and if they dont exercise that right, allow other providers the ability to step in and screen it.
Aloha from Port Macquarie Since much of 'NetworkTen' IS broadcasting Letterman & IS broadcasting at least SOME of the F1 coverage & IN SPITE of broadcasting Orca, it just doesn't seem fair to 'hate' 'em! There ARE issues from the world of motor racing - scheduling SO many dates of the Champ Car World Series [CCWS] & Formula One Grand Prix [F1] ON THE SAME DAY!! It's a nightmare to follow schedules of both open wheeled events even using the COMPUTER Live Timing offered through http://www.champcarworldseries.com/FrontPage.asp & http://www.formula1.com/ It seems practical to forgive the networks of any errors from around the globe & it seems kinda childish to 'hate' & launch an ineffective petition about timing on unforeseeable circumstances. It's obvious that ALL the other sports NEVER seem to allow a television program schedule to be followed! We OFTEN wait for the suspense of 'footie', swimming, golf, tennis, lawn bowls, poker, horse racing & etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.[to the enth power] before regular [irregular, retarded, out dated reruns] programs resume! There are too few polls registering discontentment with the status quo! This one seems entirely futile & really unfounded! But hey, that's just MY opinion! Thanks Ten, for Letterman, Law & Order, F1, & The Simpsons! Best wishes ~ K-den, M1/NSWMoke aka: mikewonaus@yahoo.com aka: Dorfus :O)) Chucklenose aka: MikeOne496@msn.com MikeWonDoctrine

Great 10 SUXZ for F1 Coverage, I really enjoyed last weeks race, When it came on hours past the actual end of the race, I was especially pee'd off when the Nine news told me who won before the race even started on 10
The Turkey GP started at 10pm local Aussie time. Instead of putting it on live, 10 put on the biggest piece of crap i have seen for a long time. Why do we want to watch some rubbish from NZ. I Hate Ten
