Well, we don't know what you like or anything. There is no 'good' hobby for everyone.

Most hobbies are about collecting something.

Lets put it this way...

If you are a collector, you have a hobby.

Serious collectors do invest large amount of money in their hobby.

I must have spent 40 or 50 thousand dollars in various hobbies over the years. I did get a lot of enjoyment out of them. The other thing is that if it cost you serious money, it must be valuable. Which mean that you can re-sell it when you tired of it and recover most of your money.

However do not speculate on it, because what is popular today might not be tomorrow. You should only collect for the fun of it. Don't think of it as an investment, or you will be desapointed.

But it is the money side of it which make it a worthwhile hobby. If what you are collecting is cheap and easy to get, you will get tired of it very quickly. It is the challenge of finding it and saving for it which makes it a hobby.

Most hobbies require a sense of artistic creativity, imagination and organisation.

Most people regards stamp collecting as child play, and most stamp collectors treat it as such.
I was a serious stamp collector for about 10 years and I can assure you that there was nothing simple about it. I would spend about 30 hours a week in building and catalogue my collection. I was corresponding with collectors around the world and doing exchanges with them.
However... Beware! Stamp collecting is expensive and nothing is what it seem. Unless you know what you are doing, you are likely to lose most of your money the day you want to re-sell.

Model Railways on a grand scale are a lot of fun if you take your fun from building them. It requires a lot of creativity and imagination. It is another expensive hobby and its longevity is only limited by how much money you want to put in it and the space you have to build it.

Building and maintening a website can also be a hobby if you can find a subject which will interest people and make them comeback. If you can get them to participate, even better. It requires very little money.

Then you have painting and pottery.
I never did those, so I cannot comment.
But it still cost money to buy the material.

Some people restore old furnitures for a hobby.

Some other restore old cars.

The worse thing you can do is not to have a hobby.
Because it will come a time in your life when you will have some spare time on your hands and nothing to do. Boredom is a killer.

Sport is an activity, not a hobby.

You watch television the whole night because you don't have a hobby.

You go to the pub because you don't have a hobby.

Don't start any hobby just for the sake of having a hobby. It has to come from the heart and has to be something you really want to do for the fun of it. Otherwise it won't work.

If you cannot think of a hobby you would like, you are simply not ready for it or it is not within your personality. As I said before, it is only the people with a sense of artistic creativity and imagination who do that sort of things.

Singing. Definetly. You don't have to be a good singer to enjoy singing. Also, songwriting is good. A great way to release feelings.

Latin American dancing can be a good hobby for some.  Keeps you fit and a good way to meet people.

So long as you catalogue us by some method instead of just throwing us all into one box.
