but what is your solution to having a body that can have one common rule of law for the world?

Riddle me this... why is the U.S. above this "common rule of law for the world"?

There solution to all those listed problems is not mine. . but the creator who put as here.
He is disgusted with how man has ruled himself and the time is nearly up for Him to step in and reclaim this planet and those people who WANT to abide by His rules and directions. As time goes on the situations get more serious and without solutions.

The is a worldwide campaign starting today to let people know that the UN will soon gain teeth and wipe out religion to show it has power. It will come as a shock  . . but it WILL happen.  The UN knows it cannot stop the frictions that divide the world . .and it is a political tool that is going to look to blame somebody else for all the trouble we see around us today.
Religion is on its menu.  . once it brags about how 'wonderful' it is for ridding the world of religion, it will then be wiped out itself by God.

It is time now for people to decide where they stand on this issue . . if Dafur , Afghanistan etc disturbs you . . then you need to act on that disgust and put yourself on the right side of the issue  . .(meaning get out of all false religion now!) .

The are no 'statistics' to show all this. . but loads of nearly fullfilled Bible prophecies
.

Do you have any evidence of noteable bible prophecies being fulfilled?

Don't you think it's a little naive to believe the creator will magically solve the world's problems? I am not questioning the existence of a creator, but from what we've seen there has been no direct intervention by the creator since the old testament (plagues upon villages, death of first borns etc), and this is all unproven theology.

From recent history it appears that if a creator exists, that entity is non-interventionist. They let life out play out on it's own and watch us throw ourselves off the edge of a cliff like Lemmings. What makes you think there will be intervention now? Why was there no intervention during much greater crisis such as WWII (death toll: 62 million) or the Holocaust (death toll: 6 million)?

You expect the creator to only act when religion is under threat?

It's a little bit insulting to the millions of people who have sufferred and are still sufferring to say this is definitely going to happen and hold-on til then.

And to rely on devine intervention without holding the rulers of the world - the politicians - accountable.

(Am I the first person to quote myself?)

Matthew 24: 4 - 14 . .  Earthquakes, war, famine, false religious practices as well as a worldwide preaching work to let people know  what is going to happen . . . Jehovahs Witnesses in 235 lands (that work is nearly finished)

Rev 6: the ride of 4 Horsemen starting with the rider on a White Horse. (Jesus as King since 1914) since then the riders of the Black, Red and Pale
Horses have wrought havoc over the Earth with death by war closely followed by food shortage and premature death by disease and accidents as well as
the earthquakes and natural disasters that man cannot control.

If God had intervened earlier, people would have still believed that man could rule himself without Gods guidance.
There is nothing He can’t fix (including all the death) so once mankind see the results of men ruling man and how badly it turns out. . God will step in at His own time to stop the Earth being ruined.

Illustration: You are a landlord  of a lovely house. Tenants have treated your prized possesion badly and it is now a rat infested, vandalized ruin that
needs huge repairs. . . are you going to spend your money to repair it and keep those bad tenants??. . no way! . .you will evict the ones wrecking your house and repair it properly. New tenants will be chosen by you . . this time you will select them yourself and question them to ascertain their fitness to be put in charge of your house. If they have clean habits, live peacefully and care for your property then they are the kind of tenants you want.
Same with this planet. Those who want to break Gods rules and live violent, intrusive and dishonest lives will not be welcome.

God has been waiting for things to get so bad that the ordinary man in the street can see how wrong things have become. . we are there now!  If He had intervened earlier He would only have removed the ‘consequences’ of mans mistakes and solid proof that man cannot rule himself would have been lost. (if He removes the bad results then why would men ever change their bad behaviour? )
Australia cannot even supply water to the population, jobs are going overseas to low paid 3rd world countries, health, education, finance and all other realms of mens work are collapsing around us . . if you can’t see that. . then as a tenant  . . you would ignore whiteants too.

[color=#9900CC]It is God himself who will bring religion to its end. . . he has been insulted enough now by religious ‘fakes’ who have slandered Him to billions of poor people worldwide.  Just the doctrine that we go to Heaven when we die is slander because God told Adam and Eve that they would DIE if they ate the fruit that they had been forbidden to touch (which was Gods right to do) going to heaven pushes Satans line that ‘we don’t REALLY die’. Which one told the truth??. .  when we die we get buried! . .there is no proof we go anywhere after death. The Bible tells us we are conscious of nothing.

[quote=x452]It's a little bit insulting to the millions of people who have suffered and are still suffering to say this is definitely going to happen and hold-on until then.

Many have suffered for thousands of years because of the cruelty of their own fellow man!! . .that is insulting! . .rulers who have killed, stolen, persecuted, lied to and sacrificed in their political wars have caused all the suffering. Now we can all see that. . the lesson should have been learned.
It is time for people to allow God to rule and be willing to follow His rules. They are for our benefit after all.  Most men have never given God a chance. . they just want things on their own terms. . .and as they have free will . . that is their choice. . but the price will be very high.

North Korea is but a 'drop in the ocean' in strength of power.  . but the UN is desperate to be seen as active and fixing things . . so it won't take much for that organisation to 'ramp it up'  to try and impress the world.

That's the trouble.  Man never does learn.  After centuries upon centuries he is still much as he was way back.

Oh Gizmo of much faith. I admire your conviction.

I am not one to challenge faith. I hope for the world's sake you're right (but won't hold my breath). It is about time the earth was shaken up like a proverbial etcha-sketch!

What a crock of you know what!!

Kim Jong-il 'sorry' about nuclear test
Friday Oct 20 14:25 AEST

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has reportedly expressed regret about his country's nuclear test to a Chinese delegation.

According to a South Korean newspaper report, the rogue-state leader has also apparently told a Chinese envoy that Pyongyang will return to stalled talks on ending its nuclear programs, if Washington lifts a financial crackdown against it.

The Chosun Ilbo newspaper has quoted a diplomatic source in China as saying Kim also expressed regret to state councillor and former foreign minister Tang Jiaxuan about the difficult position in which its October 9 nuclear test has placed Beijing.

"If the United States gives in to a certain degree, we will also do so, whether it's bilateral talks or six-party talks," the source quoted Kim as saying, according to Chosun Ilbo.

Pyongyang has demanded bilateral negotiations with Washington, which rejects them and insists on the multilateral process.

China faces pressure to act over North Korea at summit
Page last updated at 6:34 GMT, Saturday, 29 May 2010 7:34 UK

China is to face renewed pressure from South Korea to censure North Korea over the sinking of one of the South's warships, amid rising tensions.

Seoul is hosting a three-way summit with China and Japan as it steps up its diplomatic efforts over what it says was a torpedo attack by the North.

Beijing has so far refused to condemn North Korea, but has said it would assess the evidence objectively.

Pyongyang has fiercely denied the allegations.

South Korea says an investigation involving international teams uncovered indisputable evidence that North Korea fired a torpedo at the ship.

It has announced a package of measures, including a halt to most trade with North Korea, and is also seeking action via the United Nations Security Council.

If such action is to succeed, China's support is crucial.

Speaking on Friday, Mr Wen said China "will not protect" whoever sank the warship.

Beijing is under pressure to take a strong stance against North Korea but so far has not accepted the findings of the independent investigation.

Mr Wen said that China would take its position after "objectively and fairly judging" the evidence while "respecting the international probe and responses to it by each nation".

Early on Saturday, on his way to the summit, Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama paid his respects at the graves of the 46 sailors who were killed in the explosion.

The BBC's John Sudworth in Seoul says the gesture was a demonstration of solidarity with South Korea and its conclusion that the ship was attacked by North Korea.

Japan has already said it is tightening its stringent sanctions against North Korea.

The three leaders will hold two days of talks on the South Korean resort island of Jeju.

North and South Korea are technically still at war after the Korean conflict ended without a peace treaty in 1953.
