Susan watched as her husband boarded the 8:15 pm Qantas flight from Melbourne to Auckland. She then drove home from the airport and proceeded to watch a movie. About one hour into the movie there was a news flash: the 8:15 pm Qantas flight from Melbourne to Auckland had crashed with no survivors. Susan did not react. She just continued to watch the movie. How come?
hmmmm, a few possibilities 1) her husband was already dead and was boarded on the plane in a coffin 2) her husband was a terrorist and was going to blow the plane up 3) susan was asleep when the broadcast came on 4) the one i think it might be - the broadcast was actually part of the movie she was watching and thus not real? |

the closet one was number 4...
Hint: It was a genuine, accurate news flash. The woman's husband had boarded the plane; however, the woman knew her husband hadn't been killed. |

This was one of those moments where I opened the thread and thought, "Wait... she was watching 'A Movie' " and thought I might look halfway smart for a second but then I saw that coctosan had already posted it.
She was watching a recording? |

Correct!! The movie had been shown a week earlier. Susan had taped it onto a video and watched it that evening. |

Okay...
Is the first one "Domino"?
I think the third one is: "He came out of nowhere"?
And I think the last one is: "Temporary Setback"?
Havent got a clue with the second one.. |

Correct on all 3...good work! As to the second one....its a reference to a poem about the US revolution and has to do with a signal.... |
