Yes I liked it! I'm not usually a fan of sport related movies, but I was surprised with Benchwamers! Jon Heder is hilarious. Very funny movie. Hope it comes out on DVD soon! |

I watched it. It's interesting, but not really that great in my opinion.
I still need to find a time to watch Superman Returns before it's off cinemas. |

I have to say I really liked Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. And thanks to Channel Seven to refresh my memory of The Curse of the Black Pearl. After watching the movie, I bought Pirates Remixed - EP from iTunes Music Store. Still love the music Disclaimer: link to iTunes Music Store is direct link, non-affiliated. |

It is amazing how well this film is still doing at the Box Office here In Aust, when you look at Movie Marshal.Com and the figures for the week ending August 06th and the top 10: After 5 weeks it is still romping in the dollars and almost 34 million in 5 weeks is amazing, long way to go to catch Titanic and Shrek 2 (needs another 24/20 million or so), however it is sill going real well considering those were Christmas Holiday time releases (as was Lord Of The Rings). |

I watched this last week. Wasn't bad but wasn't great either...lets say a good B grade comedy
Had some good moments in there, especially the shark incident!
And of course, Uma in a superhero uniform...mmmmm! |

Definately,
i love all of the View Askew movies. I have the most bizzarest sense of humour so these stoner movies make me laugh.
Nearly forgot to add so glad its in colour |

Who enjoyed the film "WHAT DREAMS MAY COME" and why? I'm in the US; this is the only chatroom I could find with a non sexual slant. I realize many of you folks are in Australia; hope we can find many things in common to discuss. |

Appreciate hearing from you! Robin Williams stars. His wife dies and he goes in search of her. Gorgeous colors and quite a spiritual theme, also many of the afterlife scenes were closely modeled on famous paintings. Another fav. movie of mine is "Fluke", about a man who dies and comes back as a Golden Retriever. Morgan Freeman plays his companion doggie in the film. It has a very loving and important message. On another note, not sure how I feel about this, but I understand that some Brits have made a movie about President Bush being assasinated. "Free speech" and all that, but there are so many sickos in the world I hope no one gets an idea. Also a film about Bobby Kennedy is just coming out. Sad to rehash all that, as I lived through it. |

Welcome to eBlah Devantha. I did see a little of the movie you mentioned and actually thought it was weird. Maybe if I sit down and watch the entire movie properly I may have a different opinion. I thought the colours were wonderful in what I did see of the movie. 'Fluke' sounds like fun and everyone loves Morgan Freeman, I am sure. The movie about your president being killed sounds in very poor taste! Are you meaning Bobby Kennedy Jnr with that last sentence? The Kennedy curse and all that! Think he married the wrong woman there. We do make sure our terrific forum stays clean, well mannered and respectful of others. This, to me, is what makes this forum so great. Happy posting Devantha |

Hello again! The new film Bobby is about Rbt. Kennedy, Sr. and imagines what might have happened if he had lived. The night he died, my son Matthew was a new born baby. His dad and I were watching TV and had it on when he was shot. I still automatically leak tears when that scene is shown, and don't think I care to see the film. Ditto the World Trade Center movie. Its still too painful. Do you watch much television? Or like to play games on the Internet? Just wondering. A bit about me: I'm the mom and grandma of 6. These days its just me and the cat. I live in a small town in the NW USA. and volunteer at a nearby library. I LOVE books...always say I'm just like a drunk in a bar when it comes to acquiring them. Thats enough about me for now. Appreciate hearing from anyone interested to write. Would be glad to hear about your life (s) Have not been to Australia, but my oldest daughter, a real globe trotter, has, several times. Also I have a friend named Jonathan Isaaks (spelling?) who lives somewhere in your country. He built his own home and is a professor these days. All the best to you Music, Suzi, and Norm from Devantha PS What is a double thread? Will check out the forum---thanks. |

Just to clarify, Devantha is in no way related to me Welcome to the board Devantha, there are alot of terrific people here to chat to. With the 9/11 anniversary just around the corner, there are alot of documentaries appearing on Australian TV. I don't know about you, but I just can't watch that footage anymore. It's too disturbing and dare I say it - a touch exploitive. Is American TV doing anything special this year for 9/11, Devantha? |
