Brit was a child star (Mickey Mouse Club) and well known at a young age. Her parents apparently paid for plastic surgeons to make Brit 'pretty' because she was not a very pretty kid. As a consequence very little of Brit is 'real', she has been re-created and now she is so damn crazy mixed up she doesn't know who she is. She just needs to seclude herself from the media, lay low, recover and receive professional help. Maybe not in that order but you know what I mean. She is equal first as far as 'lost the plot' goes alongside Courtney Love!

AP - Britney Spears has left rehab, her spokeswoman says.
"Britney Spears has been released by the Promises Malibu Treatment Centre after successfully completing their program," the pop star's manager, Larry Rudolph, said in a statement.
"We ask that the media respects her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time."

The club, famous for being the gold standard of sexy burlesque shows in both Hollywood and Las Vegas, was "thrilled that Britney thought of us and look forward to rescheduling." Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce will open this fall in New York in a much publicized partnership with Sting and David Bowie."

Britney Speed Demon Spears Britney Spears was pulled over by Beverly Hills police for allegedly speeding but was let off with a warning, authorities say.
She was driving along Sunset Boulevard when she was stopped at 8:45 p.m. Friday.
"She was pulled over for speeding," says Sgt. Mike Foxen of the Beverly Hills Police Department. "She was warned about her speed and let go. She was not cited."
Earlier in the day, Spears had done intense workouts at the Millenium Dance Studio, getting into shape to return to performing. She also has been in the recording studio with music producer JR Rotem, whom she briefly dated.
"Everyone talked about how happy she looked to be back in the studio," says a source. "She came in focused from the start. She's always been a pro when it comes to her music."
Spears's driving last made news when she was photographed in 2006 driving with her baby son Sean Preston in her lap. Spears later said she made a mistake.

Someone needs to say it but you all seriously need o get lives. I was always he first to pick on Bratney when it was about her terrible music but this stuff is beyond stupid. I doubt very much if every parent out there was followed constintaly they would of made mistakes a some point. And those who will reply to this saying they never made mistakes like she did blah blah blah BOLLOCKS!! You never had cameras following you around 24/7 You probably don't even remember doing it. Can anyone in this room HONESTLY say they never made a bad descion when it came to a partner I know I've dated a loser or too in my time. Granted I had enough sense not to marry them but some people do. As for the partying what none of you ever go out no wonder you spend so much time online reading and gossiping about other peoples lives. Perhaps you should go out and have a good nigh out. I'm a parent and a damn good one yet I still manage to have a social life outside of my child that does not affect my parenting, being that my child like most are asleep at nighttime when I'm out and in trusted hands of a good friend. Perhaps she did ask for publicity when she first started but she was a CHILD when she first started and very unlikely she knew that it would leave to this. Then you have to look at the fact that most o these things are just made up, make believe people If i walked into yourlife and followed you around all day taking photos i would eventually take one of you looking bad or doing something stupid and if not i would alter it so you were just so i can make money and pay the rent you know. Britany sucks always has but here's an idea if you fools stop buying the magazines and talking about it then guess what she will go away.

It's actually not uncommon to get warnings for driving infractions in the US. If not a warning then a ticket written up for less than what someone got caught for. I had a 55 in a 25 reduced to 30, once I had a 55 in 35 plus failure to change my address on my registration plus failure to change my address on my licsence plus every light on my car not working except for the headlights (this I didn't know) and had it reduced all the way down to a $4 fine and having to have a cop sign off on my lights being fixed. I switched seats with a drunk friend after rounding a corner and... this is why alcohol is bad, I thought this was a good idea because we were thinking along the lines of him already having criminal charges for multiple counts of driving on a suspended license, yet it didn't even occur to me that I too was drunk and could have been charged. Anyhow, it was winter time and I think it was just too damn cold for all of us to still be outside of the cars and that's why I wasn't taken for a breathalizer.... I'de passed the roadside that they do there though. I've also just plain been warned about speeding... and pot smoking while in my car. I consider myself really lucky but it honestly is common to get a warning. With icing sugar, maybe it's more strict now, but for the amount of daily crack runs I've made over periods of time, it would be sort of naive of me to think that the cops don't have video tape of me doing it and I don't have any arrests for any drugs. I've been clean for over 5 years before anyone starts the tar and feathering.
TMZ has obtained a declaration filed today by Britney Spears' lawyer, expressing fear that "criminals ... might target the minor children for financial gain."
Attorney Laura Wasser asked the judge this afternoon to seal the child custody portion of the divorce between Spears and Kevin Federline. In her declaration, Wasser wrote that the document -- which divides custody 50/50 -- details the specific timeshare schedule and transportation matters. Wasser fears if the document becomes public, the media would have "a greater ability to ascertain the physical whereabouts of the children."
Wasser wrote: "Such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the minor children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing the minor children to criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain." Wasser did not use the word 'kidnapping,' but the intimation was certainly there.
The judge granted Wasser's motion to seal the custody documents, pending a full hearing next month. The judge also agreed to keep secret the child support provisions of the divorce.
Britney Spears' minder Julio Camera spoke to INF exclusively about the celebrity's constant pursuit by the paparazzi, on the day he was cited by the Las Vegas Police Department for assaulting a photographer. We're sorry we couldn't post this sooner, but we had to embargo it until several paying media outlets had a chance to run the interview.
Camera - nicknamed JC - refused to comment directly about the alleged attack on the paparazzo, as legal proceedings are pending, but he told us: "Things are just getting too crazy out there and someone is going to get hurt or killed. A lot of these photographers don't care about their own safety, never mind anyone else's."
Camera said he feared for his own safety sometimes, as well as that of his clients' and members of the public.
He went on: "The longer this situation goes on, the more dangerous things are becoming. I know that photographers are just doing their jobs and are trying to get their shots and there's a lot of competition between you guys, but there is a line that shouldn't and can't be crossed."
Camera's comments were made on the same day that security cameras reportedly caught him thumping a photographer in the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas where Britney Spears was staying. Camera allegedly wrestled the photographer to the ground after the shooter accidentally bumped into Britney's son, Sean Preston. Britney and her minder checked out of the hotel a short time later, and Britney filed her own police report, saying that the photographer had battered her bodyguard and her child, who was being held by Camera at the time of the incident.
According to x17, Britney is already lined up to hit the stage in New York for Saturday Night Live (SNL). MTV also confirms Britney will at least be attending the MTV Awards, it is not known if she will be performing. That same week she will be opening LAX nightclub in Vegas.

Elizabeth Arden confirms: It's really Britney's body on the ad
"We recently shot Britney Spears for the print campaign for her new fragrance Britney Spears Believe, in Santa Monica. It is true that Britney did leave the set; however, she returned after a brief time. Kylie was the wardrobe assistant on the shoot. We used her as a stand in so that we could set up the lighting while Britney was off the set. When Britney returned, we shot the national print ad with her. The only person in the national print ad for Britney's Believe fragrance is Britney Spears." Access Hollywood also confirmed that it's Britney's entire body on the picture.
Kevin Federline has filed an order to show cause for primary physical custody of his two sons with ex-wife, Britney Spears, according to a source.
The documents were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday by Federline's lawyer, according to the source.
Spears and Federline's divorce was finalized less than two weeks ago. At the time, the couple agreed to split custody 50-50 of Sean Preston, 22 months, and Jayden James, 10 months.
But a source close to Federline told PEOPLE that the would-be-rapper was worried Spears was exposing the boys to "unnecessary risk" and that his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, "hopes to get Kevin primary custody."
In June, when the couple were wrangling over their divorce settlement, Federline was still resisting signing the papers over growing concerns about Spears' erratic behavior.
Spears, who spent a stint at Promises rehab center, has been a fixture on the nightclub and party scene. The news of Federline's request for primary custody comes as photos have surfaced of his ex-wife reportedly topless in a hotel pool.
Calls to Spears's lawyer were not immediately returned.
Britney sure loves her a lollipop. According to The Enquirer, these are drug pops. : Britney was introduced to the “drug lollipops: while on her “ONYX” tour in Europe in 2004, said her friend. In Amsterdam, she visited legal marijuana cafes where the lollipops were sold.
After the tour, Britney found a place to buy marijuana “pops” in Santa Monica, said the source. But the insider claims she soon graduated from marijuana-laced lollipops to pops laced with a morphine-like drug that’s an even more potent narcotic.
“The morphine-laced pops are round and look like gumballs,” said the source. “Britney was photographed with them in New York right before her breakdown. Sometimes she’d pass out after sucking a morphine pop. She mixed it with alcohol and could barely stand up and ended up throwing up.
“Now it is as if she uses the pops as a substitute for pain pills or Vicodin.”
The ‘pops were approved by the FDA in 1998 to treat severe pain in cancer patients. They contain the powerful narcotic painkiller fentanyl citrate. The drug is highly addictive and 80 times more potent than morphine.
Britney has contacted a Hollywood addiction specialist to help her kick the habit. This doc uses a new drug called Suboxone, which allows patients to detox on an outpatient basis. Approved by the FDA in 2002, Suboxone is one of the first addiction-fighting drugs that can be prescribed and administered from a doctor’s office.
Hope she can kick the lollipops!

X17 has spoken exclusively with a source we've witnessed to be very close to Britney -- we grabbed him as he left Winston's Friday night with Brit and Alli (he snuck out the back door, but X17 was there!). "Jeff" as he called himself (not Jeff Kwatinetz who was rumored to be Brit's new manager), has been close to Britney and/or Britney's family since before all of her recent troubles began. And here's what he told us ...
"Britney does NOT do drugs!," says "Jeff" who tells us he's strictly against any type of drug use and against anyone involved in any type of drug use. She might enjoy a drink or two when she goes out but that's it. And the lollipops? -- "They're Tootsie Roll pops, not suckers laced with drugs or whatever Kevin's camp is claiming -- I've never even heard of that!" She doesn't even go out on nights when she has the kids and she becomes very sad immediately after they leave. Her world revolves around her children -- 98% of her energy is spent on her children and at this point her career takes a distant second.
Britney never hated Kevin. He was "hardly even present during most of their marriage" but for the sake of being with her children 24/7, "Jeff" says, she would have considered staying with him. However, in order to be a happier mom, she felt it would be best to part ways with him. Jeff says: "Staying with a liar just to make life easier for your children -- if that's not pure devotion for your kids, then what is?? Britney can get any guy she wants, it's just hard to weed out the good ones from the bad ones"
Britney is NOT worried about Kevin's battle for custody of Sean and Jayden because she knows no one around her has evidence or proof of her doing anything negative that would make her an unfit mother because she has been nothing but a responsible, loving mom. According to Jeff: "Anyone close to Britney knows that she's an angel when it comes to being a mom and a friend."
Everyday life for Britney with her kids consists of 23.9 hours/day focused on the boys," mom, mom, mom constantly," NO soda in their bottles -- in fact hardly any soda in the house, claims "Jeff." Britney spends all day playing with the boys while they're there and allows no strangers in the house and conducts very little work-related business when they're around. "Her kids are everything to her, there's no doubt about it," he says.
The negative? -- our source says, "You mean besides the fact she's never made me those potatoes au gratin like she promised? -- haha!" There's nothing normal about her life right now." With the media focused on her like they are and the constant legal battles arising from her family, Britney is anxious over the constant pressure and threats. "She's a young girl, who's finally attempting to be totally independent and that's just something that the people around her -- business people -- do not want to see happen. When someone gets fired, they immediately decide to hop on board with all the haters. However you never see them report anything negative when they're employed, they just run to the tabloids and try to sell their bogus stories after she's canned them. Any celebrity of her magnitude will tell you how hard it is to have your life scrutinized every second of the day, however she remains as polite as possible to the press. She doesn't feel as if she needs to defend herself in the media and I agree. Just don't get in the way of her kids; she is a mother and she is very protective of her sons, as she should be."
On Britney's family -- our source says, "They have issues of their own that they need to work on. They need to quit blaming Britney." He's totally "turned off by Britney's family at the moment" He's also somewhat disappointed in her mom for being so naive and trusting the people that Britney fired rather than trusting her own daughter. It was due to the influence of Larry Rudolph on her family that Britney was forced in to rehab and while she was there, according to "Jeff." He also claims Promises staff administered medication on Britney despite a record of constantly clean drug tests that showed no traces of anything in her body. He says Promises quickly backed off from the accusations of drug and alcohol abuse and then claimed postpartum depression after the drug results were clean, but either way ... Britney was FORCED to stay in rehab because her family, her manager and officials at Promises were all threatening to take away her children unless she completed the treatment program. "I think Lynne does love her daughter, however I also believe Britney's anger towards her is justified. But come on, all moms and daughters have their arguments. Britney is just upset right now, her family needs to just be there when she's ready to call upon them."
So why'd Britney shave her head? -- Kevin taunted Britney that even his smoking of marijuana in her presence (Jeff showed us a pic of Kevin on his phone of Kev with a joint in his hands, partying with his friends) would leave traces of the drug that could be picked up by drug testing when they lived together and he threatened to use that against her in a custody battle. After Britney shaved her head, she begged her mom and Kevin to test the hair from the salon however no one went to claim it. Instead, Larry and her family staged an intervention in a hotel room with the same interventionist that put Britney's father Jamie in rehab and also worked with her brother. Britney begged for them to give her a drug test but eventually felt there was no other option but to enter a treatment program to prove to her family that she was clean and to protect herself from any unfounded accusations in a potential custody battle. Britney met with attorneys over a month ago regarding legal action against Promises. "I think she certainly has a case against the rehab center, I feel what they did to her was not only cruel and embarrassing it added more ammunition aiding Kevin's eagerness for custody over her finances, whoops I mean children."
"Jeff" raised the question -- why would Kevin file a civil case if he were truly worried about his kids' welfare when they're with Britney? He could have just called Child Protective Services and gotten any urgent claims handled that way, however his dispute now is clearly for financial gain. Britney isn't hiding anything. And why didn't he fight for full custody of his kids with Shar Jackson if he loves his kids so much?"
Our source says "Britney is the most generous person you could meet -- too generous" and that she doesn't focus on money at all. She has supported her family financially for years and feels that they shouldn't be so quick to judge her at times. Britney does have a good relationship with her sister Jamie Lynne. Despite the current rocky family emotions "Jeff" does feel that a reconciliation sometime in the future is possible because he says, "Britney is all about family. I just believe at the moment, she's angry, she feels betrayed and she has every right to feel this way. Deep down, that entire family does love one another and it's just a matter of time before they're all together again."
Britney and the press -- "Britney is very clever. She's a seasoned celebrity veteran, if anyone knows how the press spins stories, its Britney. Get it straight people, Britney doesn't go out when her kids are home!! Come on, she has shared custody there is half the week when she's not with her kids! The press needs to quit being so ignorant at times. If you had 50 cameras and cameramen hovering around you, inches away from you at all times, pushing and shoving, wardrobe malfunctions are bound to happen."
Britney's love life? -- "Jeff" says "Britney's like a little girl at times" and is "shy around guys. She's young and single and would love to find the right man; how can anyone blame her for that. I think she forgets sometimes that she's a mega-star, someone who changed the face of music, an historical icon that still has a lot to learn and a lot more still to offer."
