Hi all,

The Moderation and Administration team have recently noticed an increase in the physical size of some member signatures.

There are some basic protocols associated with online forum signatures that we wish all members to follow:

1. A signature is only a short 'sign-off' and should contain minimal information regarding a member.
2. The dimensions should not exceed 30% of your average post.
3. The file size of any graphic in a signature should not exceed 20k. The appearance of a graphic is subject to our approval.
4. Links to external websites are allowed, however linking to affilliate programs are not permitted.
5. All signatures are subject to review by a moderator or the administration team.

Thank you for your compliance to these rules.

Cheers,
Devman

Ahh, you've beat me to it! I was going to say something about the size of some signitures, and how annoying they are when they're big. I think some ppl are just really excited about their favorite TV shows at the moment, and have been quite creative in making a large signiture, even though one half the size would still look great, and get their message across.

Thank you Dara. . now at least WE can see where WE have posted!!. .

The sig size could perhaps be measured in pixels instead of kb's as the plain 20 kb measure is hard to visualise in terms of how it would look on a page.

eg: 100 h x 400 w or a similar combination

I like that idea. And Dara, your signiture looks fine! It still gets your point across very clearly.

I have noticed some of the signitures are starting to get a bit large again so I am posting the requirements again for your perusal.
Thanks folks,
Lawnbowler.

As at the time of posting, Devman's signature is 7 lines (including an empty line)

And I changed mine to 5 lines (including an empty line), I admit I have one line in large font. I hope this is acceptable in the guideline.
