I'm not a huge fan of Michael but think he was a tremendous performer and I really liked his songs.

Reason why I say this is that I am cheesed off with these "critics" (so people with LESS talent who are just bitter they can't write their own music) saying that he's not comparable with John Lennon and does not deserve the accolade some people are giving him.  I'm sorry but the guy has the title of LARGEST RECORD SALES EVER (ie BEAT John Lennon/Beatles).  The Beatles/John Lennon (Paul McCartney) were of their era, Michael is of his era (I will even admit my age by saying of mine), and although his PERSONAL life led a lot to be desired I can separate out that out and say the world has lost a great artist/performer.

Jermaine Jackson fights for Neverland burial for Michael
By staff writers NEWS.com.auJuly 22, 2009 07:58am

JERMAINE Jackson is still pushing for his brother Michael to be laid to rest at Neverland, saying he shouldn't be buried with "bad people".

The 54-year-old singer told The Sun his family still can't agree on the issue, but said he would continue to fight a burial at Forest Lawn public cemetery in Los Angeles.

""The options are Neverland or the main cemetery in LA. I'm totally against the idea of a public cemetery. I just don't like it," he said.

"He's done so much to make the world special - and he needs to be somewhere special.

"He should be somewhere where it's safe and where he isn't sharing the ground with other people who are not good human beings. At those places they bury people who have done bad things in their life.

"Why should he be in the company of these bad people? He should be by himself. His world is Neverland."
He said Neverland was his choice because: "Any problems you had when you went there would go away.

"That's why I think it should be his final resting place. It's so wonderful and what he was about."

Jackson also told The Sun that the surviving members of the Jackson 5 would put on two memorial shows in London next month.

He will team up with Tito, Marlon and Jackie at London's O2 Arena on August 29 and 30.

I think MJ should be buried in a private area away from the general public but not for the same reasons stated in the story above.

Errrmmm I found that article by Jermaine Jackson a little disturbing..."bad people" are buried in public cemetaries?  I'm not sure all the families of the people buried there would think so.     I do however agree he should be buried in his own special place like Neverland which was what Michael would have wanted.

Yesterday while on the stairs, I saw a Man who wasn't there.  He wasn't there again today...I wish that He would go away!!

Jackson's death officially ruled a homicide
Article from: CARLY CRAWFORD
August 29, 2009 10:00am

PROSECUTORS are considering criminal charges over Michael Jackson's death after a coroner found two drugs killed the superstar.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office yesterday released its autopsy findings, ruling Jackson's death a homicide and confirming the knock-out drug Propofol, or Diprivan, as the main cause.

"The manner of death has been ruled homicide," the office said in a statement.

"Cause of death was established as acute Propofol intoxication.

"Another sedative Lorazepam, or Ativan, had also contributed.

"The drugs Propofol and Lorazepam were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr Jackson's death."

A raft of other drugs were found in Jackson's system including Midazolam, Diazepam, Lidocaine, and Ephedrine, which can be used to prevent low blood pressure during anaesthesia.

Preliminary autopsy results last week revealed "lethal levels" of Propofol had been found in the singer's blood.

Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray told police he had given the singer Propofol, Ativan, Midazolam and Valium, also known as Diazepam, in the hours before he died.

News Limited this week reported that over six and half hours on June 25, Dr Murray had given Jackson Valium and two hits each of Ativan and the sedative Midazolam to help him sleep.

The pop star demanded Propofol four hours later, according to the doctor's statements to police.

Dr Murray administered that drug, which Jackson called his "milk", after diluting it with the dental anaesthetic Lidocaine.

Under California law, homicide means another person was involved in the death. It does not necessarily mean premeditated murder, but court papers show Dr Murray is the target of a police manslaughter probe.

Dr Murray has denied any wrongdoing.

The Los Angeles Police Department has referred the case to prosecutors for possible criminal charges, but says its investigation into the star's death is ongoing.According to police documents, officers found an array of drugs by Jackson's bedside and a stash of marijuana in his home.

Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray to be charged with death
From: NewsCore January 29, 2010 11:55PM

Dr Conrad Murray could be charged "as early as next week" over the death of pop legend Michael Jackson.

TMZ reported today that Murray hired Hollywood lawyer J. Michael Flanagan earlier this month in expectation he would be charged with involuntary manslaughter, for administering the sedative propofol to Jackson.

Flanagan said he was "probably the only attorney in town that has successfully tried a propofol case involving death."

Jackson, whose album Thriller is still the best-selling record of all time, died aged 50 after suffering cardiac arrest.

He was reportedly administered drugs such as propofol and antianxiety medicine lorazepam, and his death was ruled a homicide by the Los Angeles County coroner.

The case against Murray was expected to be complicated in part because the doctor did not break any laws in administering propofol, often used to relax people and put them to sleep before surgical procedures.
