Best pets eva.  Dino is a big ginger moggie who is so timid and a real scardy cat, but you can pick him up and he will let you carry him round for ages he puts up with anythin.

Yoshi is a little terror he is only a small tuxedo cat he is older than dino but half the size.  a runt I think??

i love my kiddies xxxx

My daughter (adult) has an 11yr old cat named Sam (not unusual I know) and another who is 7ish called Xavier and two rats called Osiris and Chi (Chi died this year). My budgies have been called Sunshine (died at 9) and was sunshine yellow, Puddin' (coz he's a puddin' head), Sweetie who is anything but sweet, Shrek who was green and Horrie who was a pretty multi coloured greenish budgie whose name was derived from Hagar the Horrible... like Horrie the horrible (he was beautiful and sweet). I had a rabbit (white) called Flossy after the lady who gave him to me, a turtle called Tommy after the man whose property he came from and a miniature turtle who was about 2inches by 3 inches in diameter with an orange and black patterned under-shell who was called Juliet. My current budgies are Puddin' and Sweetie who are a couple and poor Puddin' is quite hen pecked. Last but not least I have my beautiful 'Bubba' the cockatiel who adopted me 6 months ago. Bubba because he is my 'baby'.

my husband had a dog called Lucky (when he was a boy) Lucky to be alive...after he fell of the back of a truck travilling though town and broke his leg. The driver never came looking for him.

My brother had a cat, he called ...Rikki-tikki-tavi  (from Jungle Book story) and I had RAT, I named Romeo, which I loved. I had pig called Priscilla.

Love those names Alison! We've always had a 'Sam' in the family, boring but easy to remember!

Hercules is a great name for a little canary, Alison.

Horse WAS named after Footrot Flats cat, he was massive!  Hercules was named by his owner - my grandson, and turned out to have a herculean voice!  He starts as soon as he hears movement in the house each morning - to my daughter's disgust as she is not a morning person.

Wow ..what long, but beautiful names, Bluezphere...do you shorten their names,  when you call them?

As you like cats...you might like this little movie

http://www.snotr.com/video/528

my Jasmin is so like this in the morning (except for the bat thing).

Actually their names all have stories behind them, and I have had other cats with names as long, and yes most of the time thier names are shortened to just the first name, although Merlin gets called Merle more often than not.

I love that video, I have seen it before and I believe that sort of thing really does happen....

And yes I love cats, they are my favorite people.

But I like funny things too, like this have you heard of the Viking Kittens?
