I am a long suffering Dragons fan too. Beaten '93, '94 '96 '99. When will they ever go one step further? Favourites again but like last year, they found yet another way to lose. It looks like it's going to be anothe rfrustrating year of what could have been. Shame is we are losing a lot of good players at the end of the year, so the future looks bleak... |

Having lived in Qld for 12 years I still would no more support the Broncos or Queensland in the State of Origin than fly to the moon under my own power. I hate how so many Queenslanders are one eyed and tunnel visioned when it comes to Rugby League. I love it almost every year when in the State of Origin NSW wins. If Queensland wins you never hear the end of it and if they lose they focus on something else for example... one year Queensland was trounced by NSW but the headlines on the front page of the Courier Mail and the local rags the next day was "Mal Meninga retires from rep football" and a photo of Mal looking so upset. I support The Brisbane Lions though (AFL) and always have even before moving to Qld, even when they were known as 'the Bears', which I still accidently call them sometimes. After the Lions I support the Sydney Swans. Rugby League teams I tend to not follow but am partial to the odd players. Like Shane Webke, he does it for me. |

Even though I'm a Dragons supporter I usually put a few dollars on footytab each week, so then every game is of interest to me. Saints are their own worst enemies, always with some controversy about players leaving or something. If they ever concentrated on football they might actually win the comp. Now we have bailey and Ryles out and have to play the Broncos this weekend. Good luck! Hope Saints get 8.5 start at least.
I liked Gorden Tallis (more when he played for Saints of course). Willie Mason thought he could be like Gorden but he isn't as smart, which is plainly obvious on and off the park. |
