Thanks for the updates Morgan, I'd like to see the episode with Harry Shearer.

However Ten will be airing two episodes on Thursday night. One at its usual time, and another at 7.30pm with the Terri/Bindi Irwin interview. I hope this doesn't mean they repeat the same episode twice in the same night lol.

Madding, ain't it!

Oh my god they actually did it! lol

Just when I think Ten have made the DUMBEST programming move ever they keep outdoing themselves. They played the same episode TWICE in the same night. I wasn't surprised, but it's highly stupid on Ten's part.

I'm really curious now as to how both airings would have rated last night.

Yeah probably not the best move by 10, but I think they had no choice as they are showing the current episodes which is something that 9 never did.

I know that they wanted to cash in on the Bindi hype, but once was probably enough.

Couldn't they at least play something else, or better yet, a slightly older episode?

what do you mean " they had no choice as they're showing the current episodes which is something that nine never did "?

Channel 9 would often take an important interview from Letterman & put it in a current affair... they did it with Russell Crowe & the telephone throwing apology

Bindi annoyed me a little yesterday. She's such a... kid lol. She's cute and charming at all, but... she tried too hard to please the audience IMO.

yes is sad what happened, But she is not the only child to have lost a father/mother, and do we need to see everthing she does?, Im also concerned about the home schooling she gets , when does she mix with kids her own age ? she is always surounded by adults,

I'm glad I wasn't the only one a little put off. IMO her enthusiasm can sometimes come across a little overbearing and annoying.  Give her credit though, she has a very positive attitude. Hopefully she doesn't get on everyone's nerves too much too quickly.

As I said, she's just a kid and 99% of kids tend to get (as you said) overbearing when they're in the spotlight. Probably due to the fact that children are more easily overwhelmed by all the attention.

Attention makes me feel nervous and overwhelmed, and I tend to shiver and I don't know what to say. I'm sure others feel the same lol.

EDIT: The ratings weren't that bad considering the lack of advertising. How'd the 11.30pm repeat rate?

what? I must have seen about a hundred adverts for it! to the point where I changed the station when one came on.

I did watch it though. I quite like letterman. Shame we had to sit through 45 mins of other stuff to see the "bindi special" though. I've heard of Tina Fey but I dont think I've seen anything she has done. The letters from prisoners was hilarious though.

And guys? remember bindi is only eight or nine years old, she'd be an attention seeker to begin with, but she has the whole world watching her, so of course she is going to be all "ooh attention! time to show off!"

After six years of being in Australia, it was a surprise to see the interview with Tina Fey...nearly fugotaboud SNL...she was [is?] a writer & co anchor for 'Saturday Night Live's "Weedend Update", [like 'CNNNNI'  & precursor to 'Not Necessarily The News' another very popular weekly skit comedy with featured musical guests, never shown here.  Careers of Chevy Chase, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, the Late Chris Farley, Rob Schneider, David Spade & even Eddie Murphy were launched from SNL!
There shouldn't be any disappointment with Bindee, perhaps the disappointment should be directed with Australian TV hyping it up & doubling the expectations of the viewers.  I've NEVER seen an ad for "The Late Show with David Letterman", ever!  A friend alerted us of the change to TEN from a newspaper article [so last century] in December.  We're STILL looking for an ad for "The Late Show With David Letterman!"  Southern Cross TEN has yet to push anything other than "Neighbors"

Tina is also a young mother, as well is being cocreator/producer/writer for the funny new television series, 30 rock

A behind the scenes satire of the Saturday Night Live program

One of two such programs currently broadcasting in the states

The other being Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, by the creator of the West Wing

Tina also wrote Mean Girls the funny little comedy film a couple of years back about school pressure & trying to fit in starring Fresh to Rehab Lindsey lohan
