According to his biography, he has not appeared on the Letterman show.

Jungle jack is my father's favourite person.  We cannot work out whether he is a brilliant comedic actor, who also happens to be an animal expert & running his zoo, or really as stupid as he comes across.

I like to think the former.

I know what you mean.

he does come across as a dufus sometimes but he knows his animals & he never fails to crack me up,kind of an american croc hunter

i love it when dave always asks him to bring out one at a time, and of course jack always does the opposite

& always hands Letterman some innocuous looking animal, which he commences to play with, before telling him that it has deadly spines or will savage his fingers to the stump if it becomes scared.

Steve Irwin is legitimately hyperactive & is not anywhere near Jungle Jack

I particularly enjoyed the Tiger & lion cubs, with David being able to keep his under control & Jack having extreme difficulties in this most recent visit.

The kookaburra cracked me up ,dave didn't know what the hell it was and it wouldn't shut up.

Looking forward to bruce willis & ricky who are always hilarious

But ,really with letterman it's the little comedy bits that i always look forward to ,like 'will it float' ,used to love ape or artist but they dropped it.

Rosie O'Donnell will never guest star on David Letterman's talk show, because she hates the host's producer. The A League Of Their Own actress, who had her own talk show from 1996 until 2002, offered to stand in for Letterman when he underwent emergency quintuple bypass surgery in January 2000. However, her generous offer was met with a bad response from Letterman's producer Rob Burnett. O'Donnell says, "When he had his heart attack, I was on the phone with Les Moonves because I was hosting something for CBS and I said, 'Hey, is he okay? I'm sorry. If they need anyone, let me know.' Now he's unconscious in the hospital and his producer Rob calls me up. I'm all friendly and worried and he was like, 'Who are you to try and steal Dave's job? You're not a friend of the Letterman show.' (I won't appear on the show and) it's not 'cause of Dave. It's this other guy, Rob, that I don't enjoy, frankly."

I am with Rob on this one.  It was a very stressful time for all of the staff, because they are like a giant family & the last thing you want is someone trying to push in whilst you are worrying about a loved one.

They asked people to guest host, the people did not ask them.

Rosie O'Donnell is just completely up herself

Lot's of people won't go on Letterman and I'm pretty sure there's people Letterman isn't going to book.  It's not a new thing.

I think a single thread on Letterman is warranted next time there's another topic involving the show itself.  Or the two existing threads could have just as well been "TV gossip" and "Talk show guests."  That way there isn't a new thread for guests of every single talk show and a thread for every gossip... there already is a celebrity gossip thread actually.

I think this subject could have been posted into the Celebrity thread or just started with the topic being The Letterman Show. It would have a longer life span on the boards and would not be one of those threads that have just a couple of replies then clutters up the space on the boards. Before beginning a new thread think of a heading/subject line that is going to appeal and have a longer life by making it more general. By starting new threads, willynilly, the boards are made more disorderly and more difficult to search.

My favourite parts involve Rupert.  Most of the time he is unaware of what's really going on.  If you remember a few years back when David used to sit in a van with radio gear & send a wired Rupert into places to follow his instructions.

They had to stop after a guy snapped & was about to stab Rupert.
