Before you accuse. . have an accurate read of the context of my post. . and how it relates to the above posts. . .and relax!!
I am relaxed. And to be honest, I don't think that the actions of any of the world's religions have God's blessing. I didn't check how I worded my post, sorry. I didn't mean to accuse you.
I agree with Paula, man created religion. It may have started with a genuine desire to please God, but that is clearly not how religion has continued.
[quote=Paula]God created man; man created religion[quote/]
To go back to the origin of this post which was about religion, good and bad, not a debate between creation and evolution.
Mankind uses religion as justification for inexcusable acts

Perhaps you should have read the previous post before making the incorrect assumption that I was off topic. I was addressing a question from x452
Quoted from x452
...Did religion create man or did man create religion.
I then followed the post you quoted with the following:
Quoted from Paula
As with most things in life, we have good and bad elements. Religion, politics, the list is endlless. Making generalisations that religion (i.e. man) caused this, that and the other is one of those generalisations. Claiming alcohol was the reason for Mel Gibson's tirade against the Jewish people is another generalisation. Replace generalisation with excuse, as I think you'll find man (Mel in the case expressed here) is responsible for all of the above.
I had been distracted by the evolution/creation discussion between Meandean and Boomslanger. Even that wasn't really off topic, but could lead to the thread being just about evolution vs creation, and that was what I meant when I said that I was getting back to topic.
I should have put the bit about going back to the origin of the post before I quoted your comment, which was completely on topic, even without your later post. I'm sorry that I didn't make myself clear about that.
The trouble is that even when I preview my post before I actually post it, I am still in the same mindset, so my meaning is quite clear to me, and I don't see that it can be taken another way.
