It has been 1 year since Schapelle Corby been sent to the jail cell for drug possession. There is still some people out there, that still believe Schapelle is innocent.

I was watching the today show and the NineMSN is doing a poll saying "Has Australia abandoned Schapelle Corby?"

Most of the visitors say yes, we have. Sorry to those people that voted yes. She is a convicted criminal, is'nt she?

...and thank god we have abandoned her! If I heard one more sympathetic onlooker to her trial, I could scream. The talent the media coverage avoided was the families who have lost husbands, wives, and children to drug abuse. Hopefully she has been the deterent for many other drug dealers thinking they can get away with smuggling drugs in to this country and destroying more lives.

Innocent or not, she gets no sympathy from me on this subject. Maybe we needed a silly hairdresser like Schapelle to set this no drug tolerance precedent.

*waits for the abuse*

The new crop of 'druggies' are too young to remember 'Barlow & Chambers' . .  the same will happen here.  . .lessons are too quickly forgotten.

Schapelle had sympathy until most members of her family have faced law courts for drugs etc. ever since.

Her family are a bunch of criminals and did not help Schapelle Corby's cause whatsoever. You'd think they would of realised that all of Australia's eyes were on them because of Schapelle's trial and conviction but they were too stupid and came under scrutiny, not just of the public but the Law. Their past criminal histories that came out after her conviction didn't help one iota either. She is in prison for what is it... 15-20 years and that is it. There is nothing else anyone can do unless the Indonesian Government decides to show clemency. I am sure there are other Australian's languishing and even dying in not just Asian prisons but all over the World.

I was with her all the way .. cried when she got 20 years!   mishaps in aussie airline baggage only reinforced my upset...

UNTIL the father got linked to past drug events and then the brother got fully caught in the dealings!

Here I was thinking I was supporting an innocent aussie family!   Now I just don't care! seriously. They mislead the aussie public so many times over it's like well, how can we believe what your saying now? Besides that...  I always thought the mother and her sister were a lil off!

The sad fact is you would think having your sister in jail because of the drug you would want nothing more to do with it but the brother got caught with it?! no offence but they're all just a bunch of idiots! I duno if the girl knew the stuff was in there or not .. she certainly looked shocked but i'm sure somebody in her family knew about it ..   n I cant memba .. was there even a bodyboard in there??

I believe the stash in the Body Board bag was her brother's. He was with her at the time and was more likely to be stupid enough to take that risk. I truly believe in a false sense of loyalty she put her hand up to the body board and bag being her own. Probably also thinking she would get a lenient sentence.

Sounds like Shapelle may serve the rest of her sentence here in Australia. I say bring her home! Life will be so much more bareable for her and that crazy family of hers if she is in an Australian prison.

Point 1 on the Schapelle case, their are more k9 units @ Sydney airport that currently in use by the guide dogs and no noses twitched

Point 2 there was not enough evidence to prove her not guilty under the indo stick it to the whi..... legal system, yet their wasn't enough evidence to prove abu backwhatever as guilty?? I think president yo-yo budawhatahe and co need to have a good hard look at themselves on that front
