It amazes me how many wonderful avatars there are on this forum. It has me wondering where people get them from, why you chose your particular avatar, what attracted you to it and why it is appropriate for you.
I'll start... I chose my avatar from a pic I found on the net. I believe she is a fairy/faerie. I love Angels and Faeries and Fantasy creatures so was attracted to it for that reason as well as I think she is beautiful and I love Purple and Mauves. It is appropriate for me because I would like to look like my fairy and have fairy abilities (like flying)!

I have been Gizmo on 'the net' forever . . and I have some clever friends who have built me some avatars and sigs in the past.
My current one was made by a University student from Bahrain. . . she got a new 'animator' programme and I got the first one she made. *thanks Ania*

mine doesn't mean anything..I had to have one for a forum I wanted to join quickly (you can't be on there without an avatar)...I used the first site I found when I googed "create avatar"

I guess I don't need my avatar to say anything about me

Cheers, BSquared

Mine says MeanDean.  Then it spins around and gets smaller and smaller as it spins.  Then it spins back into view getting bigger and bigger.  This is supposed to create an illusion of perspective as if it is spinning away and then spinning back.  It pauses at one frame in each direction which was a mistake that I'm too lazy to fix.  When it spins back, it's inverted so it flip flops accross a center line which was meant to look like it was warping about itself.  This makes it looks like it did when the whole thing began and it does it all again.

And that's the story of my avatar.  And all that in under 10 kilobytes because there was a limit of 10 kilobytes on the forum I first used it at.

As you all can see, mine is a piccy of Eric Clapton...........I just love all Blues music, especially his.  I used to play bass guitar in a small nondescript group many moons ago so you can see music is in my blood.  In fact, Erics nickname is "Slowhand" and this was my name on a couple of other forums.
Dunno why I picked Lawnbowler here, it makes me feel old........

Mine is a picture of me from when I was a model for a friend of mine doing his final exams in a professional Makeup Artistry course. One part of the final exams was Body Art, and the theme set was 'Celebration'. So he chose 'Chinese New Year', and did a dragon on my back and around my shoulders and chest, with a banner and chinese lanterns... complete with sequins and all. I can't remember what the chinese symbols on the banner say but it's prolly something festive.

I love it because everyone assumes it's a tattoo, and therefore that it can't possibly actually be of me, that it's something I've found off the net... But it is me, and it looks tres funky!!

I have long admired your avitar ixnay and wondered if that was you. My daughter does body art, specifically airbrushing, freehand and stencils. She was recently featured on the ABC show, Surfing the Menu. Dragons are the most popular thing with her customers. Just last week I saw a Tattoo magazine with a very similar thing to your avitar done 'for real', maybe they got the idea from your pic?!

I like The Simpsons, therefore I call myself Simpson, and who better to have as my avatar than the most famous of the Simpson family, Homer, doing what he is famously known for.

I watch Lawnbowling more often than golf.  It's facinating that people are so accurate with those things.  They aren't old either.
