Underworld: Evolution continues the saga of war between the Death Dealers (vampires) and the Lycans (werewolves). The film goes back to the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selena (Kate Beckinsale), the beautiful vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), the lycan hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines.
This will be a modern tale of action, intrigue and forbidden love, which takes them into the battle to end all wars as the immortals must finally face their retribution.

Did your friend see the first one normangerman? If so was it as enjoyable as the first one? I love the story line more than anything else. Two of my favourite monsters... Vampires and Werewolves Vs each other. My son was in a line 100 meters long at the Cinema complex on opening day for it one hour before starting time and it was sold out. He'll go towards the end of this next week. |

Having seen both films, I would have to say the 1st film was slightly better than the sequel. BUT... the sequel has some great action sequences, I would give U: Evolution 3.5/5(the first film- 4/5). Depending on how well the second film goes at the boxoffice, there is good chance of a 3rd film(which would make a trilogy). |

I agree, the first one was better. The first 1/2 hr of Evolution was like huh??? but after that it improved. Anyway Kate Beckinsale is still extremely HOT!!! in the latex body suit. Len Wiseman is one lucky guy. I was told that Kate was in a 3some in the movie (FFM) but I unfortunately must've missed it (where was it ? . |

Both movies were enjoyable, but nothing spectacular. I agree that the storyline was what kept me going. There just aren't anymore good vampire movies. Anyone remember that old TV series 'Vampire: the masquerade"?

Yes, I do. Do you remember 'Kindred: the Embraced'? I have all of it on DVD. Mark Frankel played Julian Luna. Sadly Mark died in a motorcycle crash and the series only aired for 8 episodes as there really wasn't anyone who could take Mark Frankel's place as Julian Luna. He died before his second child was born. There was a couple of regulars who I loved also. I loved this show and was sad when Mark died and it was the end of him and the show.
