I am divorced twice by my own undertaking. Marriages lasted 4 years the first time and 19 and a half years the second time. Divorced now for 15 months. Would love to have a partner/companion who I could share good times with and wake up next to at least twice a week. Not sure I want to cohabitate with someone permanetly ever again though.

Perhaps a pilot or interstate truck driver? Mind you you would have to kick them out when they reached retirement age - so probably best to get yourself a toyboy, so you kick off the mortal coil before that happens

Ok Gizmo, I'm single, was engaged but got burnt.
I suppose you could say I'm looking, but I'm being far more cautious this time round.

Yeah it marks as having a new post when there's just a new vote.
I've been married for 3 years.  My wife is a very beautiful person and as such will be when her physical hot-ness passes away and I do very much believe that women get better with age in all ways (sexysmiley)  Except of course when they start shooting heroine and kill people in the commision of felonious crimes in order to get dope money... that makes them not so desirable I think.  Also, I couldn't imagine that being on the receiving end of a baseball bat would be pretty either.  I don't think she'd do either of those things.  I forgot infidelity, that would suck worse than the baseball bat I think but can't worry about that, don't think I need to actually.  Maybe it's 4 years  No it's 3, just did the math.

Thank you for all your help everyone. I will take your suggestions on board, lol. I lived with a wonderful man between my marriages who was a long haul truckie but he had a huge problem with alcohol and our relationship was very destructive. My last Ex who I have been divorced from for 15 months is getting married on December 17th. She has been separated for 16 months, divorced for 4 months. He is moving 2 states away and taking on 2 girls, 8 and 12. Having known him for 35 years I am happy that he is happy BUT I think it is too soon. Their relationship has been long distance and they have not co-habitated for more than one week at a time. I have alarm bells going off in my head about the whole thing but as my adult daughter says... 'it's their Karma to make, Mum'.

I wasn't looking when I met my wife.  I didn't even have marraige as part of the plan when I met her.  Hit me out of the blue.  Don't know if that's the boat you're in since there isn't a widowed option up there though.

That's great to hear Gizmo  30 years is a long time and it's good to see people not giving up for reasons that are... things that would take less than 30 years to get over... not exactly what I mean but you get the idea.
