Lol its ok Any particular area you have in mind? Maybe the various real estates have sites, like remax and stuff? In cooparoo and carina there are lots of places for rent. Hmm |

It was our aunt's funeral today. The funeral celebrant had just started to speak, when we heard a loud, persistent knocking. After a moment's stunned silence we all began to chuckle. To our left, through the glass doors that led to the parlour's carpark, we could see a woman. She was knocking to be let in. A voice from beside me said, "Better call Clarkson's." I swear I heard Aunt's guffaws from above. PS Clarkson's are a local glazier here in SA. |

yes, that and domain are two of the best that I have found so far. Lol. However, I've only found ONE house that is willing to even consider a dog.
How is your house hunting going suzi??

It's probably just my opinion, but I wouldn't have dogs let into my rental property. The smell and waste they may leave behind inside the house is too much of a risk. It devalues your house extremely. |

Not ALL dogs do their deeds inside the house, Norman, mine go to one place down the back of the yard..............i got a posthole digger, I just bore a hole 6 inches diameter by 6 ft deep.........it all goes down there, when full, I fill it in and bore another.
Its a bit hard to train the dogs to actually squat over the hole tho............................. |

Some rental places will allow an 'outside' pet and if the dog is classified in the small/toy sizing they may even let you have one inside. Norman... who the hell has dogs that do their business inside a house/home? If I knew anyone who did I'd tell them to stop being so lazy and train their dogs/cats. Cat's have litter boxes as well as the great outdoors. The new crystal kitty litter is a wonderful invention! I had a bunny once that was trained to go to the toilet in a litter box! Some people just shouldn't have pets. I think also Landlord's and Real Estates think about the dogs digging up the gardens/yard, wrecking plants and fences, scratching at doors to be let out/in the house and the like. Some dogs, especially puppies and juveniles can be very destructive. Thanks for asking lurveit, I have stopped looking 'frantically' for a week or two because my daughter is going interstate for 2 weeks starting thursday week. I am minding the house/pets while she is gone. She can have peace of mind with me here keeping them company and the cats and rats love their 'Gan-ma' (spelled correctly with no 'r'). If ever I get grandchildren who can speak/talk I want to be called Gan-ma! The house she rents is magnificent and beautiful to live in. It has just been put on the market for $450k It is up on Buderim Mountain (Sunny Coast). Good luck with your searching lurveit. |

450k that's a lot. My cousins house in sydney is smaller than ours but it cost almost 1 million, because sydney is so pricey. Our house only cost like 385k or something but these days it would be worth like 450 or maybe more I am not sure. |

I know LB... but not all dogs do that, and I as a homeowner would not be that willing to take that risk. |

well done LB, see I dont blame the dog for pooing on my lawn I blame the owners, also this is why "they" were thinking about bringing in dung beatles to aust to help with this problem

and as a home owner I have to agree with 10_rules, you cant take the risk not all renters are as good with their dogs and you are, so you have to make one rule for all |

Really I actually didn't know that. Then why do they have places like 'Broadbeach', 'Labrador', Surfer's Paradise etc? What are they, suburbs within the city? I live on the Sunshine Coast where we have several areas under different councils. Noosa has it's own mayor and council, Maroochy has it's own mayor and council and Caloundra has it's own mayor and council. Maybe we on the Sunshine Coast are classified as a city also. Then again the Gold Coast has but one Council and mayor (ex Olympian Ron Clarke) I am confused... not unusual for me! |
