I used to be pretty good at cross country running when I was at school, always ending up in the top 3 when competing in inter schools meets................i joined a running club after school and took part in a marathon at age 17. This was a huge event of over 500 starters and I remember I came 8th in around 2hrs 42 mins.............pretty slow by todays times but it nearly killed me..........it took me days to get over it......this was my first and last marathon, I gave up long distance after that..................... |

I am moving in with my adult daughter tomorrow for a few weeks until a suitable rental comes up on the sunshine coast. I will be reconnected at the beginning to the middle of next week. I couldn't live without my internet.  I am tired beyond belief from packing today.  All I can say is, thank goodness for my daughter!  I have so much stuff on my bed I can't even find it, but to sleep tonight, I have to!  Until I 'see' you again in 5 to 7 days... be good and look after one another. well, if you do get that D+ just stand tall with ... 'pfft, nothing counts this year anyway!' seriously - nothing does - so dont panic - year 11 is just that trial year to get you use to the whole 'hard work' and deadlines concept. xx |

Happened to me too. I accidentally left my USB in the computer, and some Year 12s took it (this was the end of Year 11). They denied taking it, and when I got it back from someone else, I found my 1000 word History essay and some other files were deleted. I did not back before that day, but I did after that every single day. BTW, I did manage to finish that essay in about 2 days from then, and I got a resonable mark for it, a 16 I think. Good thing was the teacher was understanding and really helpful with that. Bring on Uni I say |
