Right! . . on to a new subject . . .  I nominate my local coffee shop as the best in the south of Adelaide . . Jetty Rd store used to be called Monroes.

Give us yours. (seeing as how this is the cafe thread.   )

I love the coffee/mochas that Zaraffas makes at my local Plaza but they are expensive. I used to go to one under the Peninsula building opposite the beach at Mooloolaba but they changed hands and got crappy.

By the way, yes the Dad gave WAY too much information IMHO. It is a very sad thing for them all to go through. Our medical know how is now so advanced that this darling little girl should lead a regular life eventually. Dara... did you know that when in the womb babies swallow the fluid that in there with them and that includes what they excrete? Just a passing thought.

Enjoy your cuppa!

What makes it better ?

Is it just the "look" ( such as getting a kind of thumbnail on stored documents ) or are there definate benefits compared to XP ?

Would appreciate any info

Me too. I honestly don't see the fuss and find it completely insane that people are rushing out to stores to buy it. I really can't see any benefits of Vista worth forking over $200 for (or even $750 if you want the "Ultimate" edition).

Doesn't it use up more of your system's resources, thus making your computer run slower?

I paid only $158 for the upgrade, and just getting Media Centre is worth the cost. It works fine btw

Does it make your games run slower? Because if I recall correctly, your computer's relatively slow, yes?

Nein. Games run fine, if not better than on XP.

This site will tell you if your PC can handle Vista. I tried it just for the heck of it. Mine is ok for the standard vertion but I need more memory for the Ultimate......

I disagree, because I know him, as do the staff/regulars at the servo (which is situated directly acrosss from the school at which we both teach.)
