He's incredibly cute.

He is like a little doll, he will soon put weight on. He is back to his birth weight now and no doubt will learn to suck instead of having the tube down his nose to feed.

Those marks look good Dara, am I missing something? I have been known to get 5 out of 125 in a math test once

Do you get to see him often Suzi?

MD a pass is like.. 50-65% or something. Then credit, distinction, high distinction. So it's good that I passed everything but I'm sad because I'm used to doing well at everything, so credits and passes :S And I just read no law firm will hire you if you're below a distinction overall :S Not sure if that's true.. I told my parents and started crying   But because I feel so sick (flu). So basically I'm dying today.

Suzi 5/125? Did you study?

I thought most people dropped out of law school and graduating would get you in somewhere, however when your information is Matt Damon from the movie "The Rainmaker", maybe you shouldn't take that as factual lol.

I'm sorry you feel bad.

HA! aren't you funny... I had a math tutor and everything but all things related to maths used to either go straight over my head OR in one ear and out the other. Now English was a whole other kettle of fish. I got A's in English, Loved the teacher (Miss Robinson) and loved the whole English thing. Home Economics and art were also my favourites. They all have a place in my world now, as does History which I never studied until homeschooling my son for 3 years.

Love the movie reference to Rainmaker! How about Erin Brokovich too?!

My Grandson I have only seen once because I had shingles last week (google them Dara)
Hopefully Thursday this next week. I have a busy week this week if I do. Out Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. It will almost kill me.

Dara...surely passing first year is good

You have a few more years to pull your marks up (if you feel you need to)

And as Dean said....others will drop out on the way, its the ones who stay that will do well.

Its NOT all about the marks.

I too love the movie reference too
Rainmaker
Erin Brokovich

and what about Legally Blonde

I'm with you Suzi. I was all over the place in maths class during high school. I'd ace certain topics, but I'd completely tank in others (particularly algebra and trigonometry... *gag* ). In order to excel, I needed a math teacher capable of, you know, teaching. Once in year 7 or 8, my best mate at the time and I both scored 3% on our algebra exam... and even more freaky is that the mark we scored on the following test was 33% (and we both received an award for our 1000% improvement... seriously... our teacher was a f-cking disgrace ).

And shut your bloody mouth, Dara. Considering how mediocre my works were in my first semester, yours are looking pretty damn good to me. So appreciate what you've got before I pull down your bare naked pants and spank your 95% natural silk buttocks!

And your grandson is absolutely beautiful, Suzi... and believe you me, I almost never say that about newborns (not even my little brother when he was born, bless him ). Congrats again.

algebra and trigonometry <3
I loved Maths Well I didn't love stressing out before every exam because it mattered most to me, but I loved when you "got" it then doing problems was fun

Well SG I'm scared it will get worse ok And my dad would replace my fallen-out-of-bus-door mp3 if I got 4 distinctions and I thought I could do it but

Dara.... That's what I call incentive

MD...... Thank you for your thoughts. Purging does a world of good. Gosh I was so ill. I am almost afraid to eat anything today I aim to lose 8kg by Christmas and last night I lost 800g of that. Not a nice way to lose weight though.

SG.... Thank you, he is gorgeous, tiny but perfect. He looks like his Dad IMHO. Of course you didn't think much of your little brother because all you could see was a rival for affection and your shifting status in the family.

Oh NOoooo Suzi

lucky you can't pass it on here....could it be a side effect from your 'shingles medication'
hope you are over it now.

Good thing YOU didn't see your grandson...while you were infectious.

And to Dara

Julia Gillard wanted to be a teacher, and did Arts and Law @ Uni

and look where it took her

You might be running this country yet.

MD... you so funny!

Dara running the country... now that's a novel idea

Candy, it was something I ate, nothing contagious. Once it was all 'out' I felt 80% better. Rib area and muscles around my mid-section are still a tad sore. Valtrex medication makes me feel hot from the inside out but they have never made me ill plus I finished them on Thursday. Definitely something I ate or drank.
