OMG just checked Telstra’s wireless plans and to just get 10GB per month would cost $129. and they do count activity both ways! The problem is the area I am now in can only get two companies Internet services and one is Telstra and the other is a company I have never heard of! Hole crap. Not happy Jan. I had a fall yesterday when I was moving. I stepped (about 2 feet) up onto the timber sleeper edge of a garden where I have moved to, to fix some of my potted plants. My foot slipped and I went head first into the pots. Broke some bits off my jade plants but they broke my fall. I have two small bruises on both knees and my right shin is bruising and a bit skinned but not nearly as it could have been. Being diabetic I heal very slowly but this will heal in a week or two. I have a few bruises from carrying stuff through the week too. Moving is no picnic! Bubba (my cockatiel) has been confused and needy but is now preening and quiet (after I threatened her with death by Butcher Bird). The speed of this internet is as bad as a 56k dial up, maybe worse! |

what is other company, Suzi. I am with iinet...and I have been with then as I traveled all around Australia, no matter how remote. The trouble may be with your phone line ie Telstra. If not supporting internet you can go satellite subsidised by gvt. Re falling ......you know you should be careful, so take it slower You came back so fast, it was like you hadn't even left |

I personally find it hard to understand why people complain so much about Telstra. I guess it is because I've only ever had one problem with them and they sorted it out quickly and quietly. Optus on the other hand are hopeless. I didn't stay with them more than a week.
If you don't like your carrier, then change. There are plenty of options these days, oh and before anyone moans and bitches, in 90+% of cases that IS possible. |

I am with iinet also, have been for the last 4 years and have never ever had a problem with them, plus you really get a far better deal than with Telstra |

Rang my old real estate in regard to the final Inspection. I listened for 20 minutes as the woman rattled off all the sh*t under the sun. Honestly. A scratch on the bench top that in the pic can hardly be seen. Carpet wear and tear because it is cheap crappy carpet. I had a Bond Clean which means the cleaners have to go back and do a few things they missed. The crappy lined curtains in the lounge room need cleaning (I refused to wash them for fear of ruining them). A mark on the tiles that looks like a pattern made by bleach (was not there before the cleaners were there) and a strange square patch on the grass like something greasy was sat there for a short time (her words not mine) what the hell? It’s grass, I didn’t do it, maybe the cleaners tipped their oven cleaning water out there. In 25 years of renting I have NEVER had any problems on exit of a place. No wonder people complain about that particular Real Estate. They also complained I did not leave the wheelie bins empty and cleaned. Gee they get emptied on a Friday. People tip them over if they are left out for more than a night! I will get a friend who lives a couple of blocks away to go around on Thursday and do that for me (put them out). I will not be cleaning them. They were not cleaned out when I moved in. Workmen had left crap including plaster in my bin. It was as heavy as lead when I had to wheel it out. Morons. Never ever again with THAT real estate. Just looking back at the posts. Yes, Dara, I was very fortunate with the fall. My right shin is a pretty blue though, also Paula, my Jade plants proved very lucky. They are the big soft one's not the spindly hard one's thank goodness I was under the mistaken impression that here we have Wireless Broadband with Telstra. WRONG! We have Westnet as this area has minimal coverage. They would have liked Optus but they couldn't get it here. I now pay $35. per month to my housemates for my share of the net. We upgraded to a faster plan as well as 60gb per month for us all. 20gb on 'peak' between 10am and 2am and 40gb 'off peak'. My female Housemate hates Telstra with a passion. She has even had a case heard by the Ombudsmen in regard to Telstra and it found in her favour. |

The real estate is a small independent one. It isn’t like ‘LJHooker’ or ‘Ray White’ it has a name that indicates their business but is not well known at all. It is based in Maroochydore I had to call in a technician to set up my TV. He did it all. DVD recorder, DVD player (that plays AVI/DivX format), Set top box all connected to my big TV. I was able to watch telly last night for the first time since Friday!! I missed Rush this week which I am enjoying, but recorded 'Fringe' last night. Watched Two and a Half Men and laughed. That show has the funniest moments. Buying an antenna (bigger) for the wireless router in the house's office which should improve my connection to a better one, tomorrow. I cannot even hope to get my bond back, even in part, until next wednesday My blood glucose levels have come down and stabilised at around 5 to 7. That is ideal for me. I got up to 19 last wednesday 10th from stress etc. Stress is not good for diabetes. My life is beginning to get back into routine/normality now. |

I am having a hypo if I get under 4. My own personal best is between 4.5 and 6. I feel ‘light’ and energised between those levels. |
