Good luck with the house hunting Suzi. I shared for several years with someone who was originally a total stranger. He is now a dear friend. It can work with the right person. Just make sure there are no children that may "stay over". |

It's so hard to stay on task when writing up essays and such.
Just make sure there are no children that may "stay over".
Why? |

I grew up in a government housing area. Everyone in our street and a few streets surrounding us were in fibro Government houses. We were working middle class family (no dole bludgers then) and the system worked well (in Cowra NSW) I even had a little bungalow/cottage there for a while during ’81-’83 with my daughter ater myfirst marriage ended. I paid $21. per week rent out of my $80. per week single parent’s pension. Even then the area was good and people worked mostly. It has changed greatly but I would have a senior’s unit which means everyone is over 50 years and no kids and not a lot of disturbances. I loved growing up in such a community in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s it was a whole different time and lifestyle. My parents bought their house via rent of something like 4 quid (pounds) per month. We fronted onto a huge park, which had tennis courts (clay) and some swings, loos and a large shelter shed PLUS Snakes in the summer time! |

In SA people are such snobs about Housing Trust homes and those who reside in them. It really annoys me. |

My wife bought me a fantastic camera for my birthday yesterday, it is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ11 Check it out... http://www.camera-warehouse.com.au/p/panasonic-lumix-dmc-tz11
Aren't you the lucky boy! Happy Happy Birthday LB. What has happened in this past year has made you rethink your own mortality and be grateful for every day. On this forum I and I am sure every other member who knows you as we do, are thankful that you are still with us to celebrate your birthday. May you have many many more! The 4 level pole house I visited this arv was absolutely extaordinary BUT my area not big enough, especially for anything over $100 (she wants $140 per week) PLUS.... she has the house on the market I have discovered without her telling me. She, Heidi, was lovely and I know we would get along like a house on fire but other tenants smoke and I'd have to be a mountain goat to walk anywhere and my birds would hate it. She already has 3 tenants, all men, why does she need another? Onward and upward Suzi! |

Hey Dara!!!! Wake up!!!! ****shakes Dara vigorously**** DARA!!! WAKE UP….Well… on Saturday I had no TV all day because Latvian B itch knocked the TV reception booster out of it’s socket in her place (Unit1 and 2 are connected and Unit 3 & 4 are also). She did not come home until 6:30 that night. Grrrr. Today… same thing and the bippetty bip Olympics are on and I wanted to bippettybip watch them! I rang the RE and they 'could do nothing' as well as sending Eva AKA Latvian B itch a TEXT before noon telling her the booster is unplugged again! I will bet my left breast this time she meant to do it. I have everything organised for the Gift Shop Garage Sale! All set up. I am sooooo happy. I am going to have a Garage Sale every Saturday until I leave this cess pit. I am beginning to organise my brain a bit better so I can get things done. Made an appointment with the Ophthalmologist (eye specialist) regardless of cost because my right eye (with the optical nerve damage) is playing up a bit and needs attention. Today the lady told me that it costs pensioner’s $125. of which I get 50% back through Medicare. Yippeee! I only owe $152.86 on my rent up to and including 16th September so that will help my budget heaps. A friend popped in today (an old neighbour from before I moved here) on his scooter. He is losing weight at 3kg per week and can’t stop. He is skinny as and I am so worried about him. He is eating heaps he said. His wife is Thai and cooks beautiful meals for the family. He has lost 30kg in 10 weeks. He is becoming forgetful and a bit foggy and looks so thin, like he has been in a war camp. His specialist and Dr. haven’t done any tests on him and he gave up alcohol on Dr.s orders about 12 weeks ago. I’d be going to other doctor’s and specialist to get 2nd and 3rd opinions. He is down to just over 60kg. There you are Dara, has that given you something to contemplate other than a blank screen, hehehe. |

Yes thanks You'd bet your left breast, lol never heard that one before. That sounds really dodgy with your friend, I'd be worried if it was me (or my family)! Don't worry, the Olympics were boring yesterday except for BMX. |
