Haha well done It is, I thought it would be more web based stuff. All the exams are theory, and instead of useful stuff we learn delphi.. we did do sql though. They have changed the course now but, too late for us. This test was on conceptual schema diagrams/ data flow diagrams etc

Dara... when will you use this knowledge? It sounds so complex and scientific and I just don't get it!

Haha, suzi I can teach you conceptual schema

ok you might have a table of info, or a paragraph.

1) make elementary sentences
eg

student(name) 'bob' is in class(code) '7A'

then you draw them
of course they are much more complicated, but anyway

an entity is a circle
a role is a box
a ref. scheme is a dashed circle

you can put ref. schemes inside entities though

see eg 1

then, well there are steps with combining etc, but this is so simple I can't do them, so you do uniqueness contraints
dots and lines

does every student have only 1 class? yes
does every class have only 1 student? no

(you check with table)

with yesses, draw a line above box ( there are 2 boxes because you read it both ways)

if 2 no's, draw 1 line all the way.

then dots

does each __ have a __?
both ways

hm well, this is a bad explanation I should send you the revision notes that is better

OMG they make something simple so complex
No wonder I left school when I was 15 and found a job.
I taught my son with Brisbane School of Distance Education for years 5 & 6 then 9 & 10. It was simple when I used and saw how to in teaching aid books, I even learned Math and Science and History through it all, and was amazed I could.

Yes, Dara, it is ridiculous!
My son finished school in year 10. He has a genius IQ and knew more than he was being taught. He now is a supervisor in a blind and curtain factory earning over $700. per week in Perth with his wife. She also works and they are sitting pretty, especially since neither drive and they only have pushbikes!
My daughter did Year 12 in Qld. After doing all of her prior schooling in NSW and she breezed through. Mind you that is 15 years ago now. She was 17 when she finished year 12, having started school at age 4 in NSW.

Our grounds rule!

We're a category 2 disadvantaged school, 85% on school card, most cannot afford much, so uniform is simple...

MS = blue tshirt with school logo, winter blue windcheater with school logo, blue or black pants/jeans/skirt
SS = white tshirt with school logo, winter blue windcheater with school logo, blue or black or fawn pants/jeans/skirt

Yeah it looks pretty simple. Ours is pretty gross as well actually, the skirts are too long and the colour is all the same so it's ick. But it's a bit more formal than that. It's the jeans that wreck it I think.
We have:

Girls:
below knees skirt
white blouse
yr 8 - 11 have a green mini tie thing, yr 12 has a striped tie   [+badge]
Jumper or spray jacket
yr 12 has a blazer
black leather shoes

boys-
button up shirt + grey shorts
or grey pants
seniors can wear long sleeved shirt
black shoes
spray jacket or jumper

sports is just shorts and shirt with our schools name on it

*sigh* Don't you just hate it how you walk out of an exam and then realise that you forgot to put something down.

I have that feeling now...

I had my Maths exam this morning and I forgot to put "+C" on my indefinite integrals, and for one of the integrals I didn't think I could use the substitution method... but I tried it in the car on the way home... and it worked.

You are so right maf-you. Not that I have done exams for a while, but sometimes when I am sleeping or doing something totally not conected with a previous task...it will pop into my head that I had forgotten something which I now remember.

GOODBYE fellow eBlah's .....it sure has been nice meeting yo'all here and I will miss everyone of you

Aw damn that sucks   The +c shouldn't matter so much should it, for us that would be like 1/2 a mark off on knowledge, or A to a B in Modelling? I'm so glad we've finished integration/ differentiation!! First principles was the most annoying hey.

Are you doing maths in uni?
