Breathe Dara breathe... I wasn't good at Specialist Maths (hardest maths in SA) I was getting low marks around 60% (C). I did the exam, answered about half the questions, guessed about another 20% of the questions and 30% left blank, but I ended up with a 75% (B) as my final grade. So I wouldn't worry too much... I worried that I was gonna fail but I ended up getting so much better than I thought I would.
School is too hard here, only 25 minutes for lunch on top of all the exams? I really feel bad for anyone going to school in Australia. There's no fun in it. No wonder people drink to much, it's because they start young for stress relief and not for the plain stupidity of it. It teaches kids that alcohol is genuinley useful. If Rudd really wants to curb underage drinking he should make school easier, then people would puke their guts out for no good reason and most of them would realize at some point that that's just plain stupid.
I know that didn't make any real sense, but honestly, Australian education standards might be high but it doesn't really do anything but stress people out it seems like.
Australian education isn't that high really, not in primary schools. No we have 40 minutes but physics exam went all throught 1st first break Yeah matt but, we have the 3 criteria, and say we have 5 modelling and problem solving q's, if we get A, A, A, D, then we get a C in that because you can't have less than a B to get an A. We have no percentages or points these days, its some stupid system they brought in a few years ago
OMG I'm so embarrassed! For a while we've been thinking our teacher is pregnant, and my friend actually asked her today, and she was like "NO" like a hiss really abrupt, then walked off. I can never face her again she must have been so offended And she's marking our exams tonight :S
I don't remember if I had already said so, but I like the name, maf-you.
It must be embarrassing to be asked that when you aren't. I think my wife has accidently done that but I can't remember specifically. My wife was around 6 months pregnant at a work sponsored dinner, and mentioned the pregnancy. Apparently no one was sure and everyone had been afraid to ask her. Now that I think of it, I usually ask someone else to make sure before I bring it up in conversation.
Last year I was asked twice within a short space of time (weeks) if I was expecting a baby. The first lady kind of mumbled her way in embarrassment after I told her I wasn’t and said her sister has a body shape like mine. I never did until a few years ago when suddenly all my excess weight shifted to my mid-section. Not happy Jan! The other lady (quite elderly) was getting her hair done at the hairdresser’s I used to, she asked and I said “honey, I’ll be 52 this year, if I were pregnant I’d jump off a very tall building”! I wouldn’t, but at my age to be pregnant would be obscene, IMHO. Let alone dangerous health wise and unfair on the poor child!
I don't remember if I had already said so, but I like the name, maf-you.
lol what exactly do you like about it?
the horror stories i've heard from people asking how long they were into a pregnancy when they were really overweight is just mind boggling... hence i have never done it, i always ask around or wait for them to tell me
It's a lot easier to remember, and more personal to type than the other name. matts2s or something, and i had to give it a bit of thought to remember any of the specifics of the other username, if i got it right or not, i'm not sure.
lol last time it was s2Matts2 's2' basically are like love hearts if you look at the shape so it was like s2 matt s2... don't ask me what i was thinking when writing the name but meh lol
lol I always get it with the name... everyone goes wtf is maf-you when reading and they only get it if they read it out loud (unless they are american where they tend to say marf-you
