Diamonds stone of the dog.

I don't like diamonds, I like the Amethyst, Aquamarine and Emerald stone of the sheep better! Though I like most of them better

SA students go back to school on Tuesday.  I have 3 English classes and a Career Education class this semester.  There are 40 students in my year 12 English class.

Dara, you're doing year 12, yes?  Are you doing English communications?

Here that'd be Language in the Community, Dara.  It's for those not inclined to do English - for various reasons.

Here in SA, there are 2 'regular' English subjects: English Studies (has an exam) and English Communications (no exam), both of which are HESS GENERAL subjects, e.g.  you can use them towards your TER score for university.

Good Luck and best wishes Dara for Year 12 and Paula for her Teaching this year.
And to anyone else who is furthering their education and doing the thankless job of a teacher/educator.

How come with no exam it still counts :O
Lol
"Language in the community", loll at that, i Just imagine the whole class swearing away ahahaha. Paula English is easy for me so if we had advanced English I would do it ut our school doesn't care about that subject. I can only do advanced maths, ad science but i quit that to do ipt.
qld has only two English subjects.

Assessment tasks. (e.g. assignments, quizes etc.)

A couple of my uni subjects last year didn't have final exams, but instead they made up for it by making us write one essay after another.

11 assessment tasks throughout the year, as opposed to about 4 (I think).

Either/or, depending on what you cope best with.

Is it different like in the UK, literature or English language? I would do the one with less orals (unless they involve making a video or website etc). More reading, maybe less feature articles lol.
How was it today? I start tomorrow

Just as many orals, Dara!

Well our year 12 English Studies class has 'collapsed' (that's the one with the exam) and is going to become an English Comms. class.  This is great for me because my numbers are up to 42 and, as the English Studies class is on at the same time, some of my students will join the other class.

I have 37 in my year 11 class though.  Man, the walls shake.

How's your year so far Dara?

Woah that would suck!
They got rid of a year 12 class as well so now we've had heaps transferred into our class, it is SO packed and claustrophobic lol.
Well lets see;
Double physics and double english on thursdays so that kind of sucks.
Bct I have a new teacher she might mark easier so we'll see.
Physics we now have a crap room, that's all that changed.
I have moved like every classroom and only like 1 for the better (fancy computer rooms )
It was so hot in english today!
Already I can see how the workload is going to massively pile up :S

How about you paula?

Btw, yay I got a dif keyboard, I can type 'n' and 'b' and '?' and '/' and numbers etc again

It's gonna be a huge workload, but by the time we have our final student census done
next week we may be lucky to get one more teacher.   That'll help a lot.

Lol it sounds like you need a lot more
I'm annoyed that a year 12 ICT class is kicking my year 12 BCT class out of the good computer room, because they have more people, it's like, we're doing the OP subject, so we should get the better room lol, their room has awful computers and cramped conditions
In physics we are doing thermodynamics, I get it so far, wow :O
English a letter about an issue in society, I think I'll do religion in public schools.. maybe, unless I decide to do something more emotive..
Ancient we are reading Imperium (yay) and doing a lot of tests
Ipt we have a major project in delphi :O
Bct sounds alright, and umm I havn't had my teacher there for maths yet
