Quoted from Lawnbowler

I happen to know the bible pretty well.  The 3 Wise men were told to report back to Herod, who was evil, not kill the child.  This of course they did not do so this is what drove Herod mad and made him kill all the newborn babies.

Quoted from Lawnbowler

If you read my post properly you will see that I said Herod was mad..???

I agree. He was mad. That does not mean he was 'driven mad' by the Magi's non-return though. He had evil intent from the beginning. If his motives were honest to go and worship the baby, he would have followed the star himself.

That is the reason I mentioned Matthew 2 :16. It states the children killed were up to 2 years old. Not newborns.  The Magi travelled for months to 'follow the star' from the East, they knew he had been born when they left 'The East' and the travel was not just a couple of days..

The star lead these men to Herod first. If the star was from God, why did it not lead them straigh to Jesus birthplace? Why did the shepherds not see or follow that same star?

As you know the Bible so well, I am really keen to see your answers about why the star and the Magi are put forward as good things in the 'Nativity'.

Having finished work early  yesterday...I was happy because I knew I could catch a favourite programme @ 1700 hrs (AUSTAR), which I usually miss. But it was not to be. Later I figured it was on x1 hour earlier......I live in Queensland...and we didn't go to DAYLIGHT SAVING. The ebroadcast tv guide does not reflect this time change. Is this going to be a problem the whole summer, until daylight saving is over. And why should it be a problem for Queensland viewers....we didn't change the time!

GOODBYE fellow eBlah's .....it sure has been nice meeting yo'all here and I will miss everyone of you

Anyhoo...

I just found out my brother has got me an ipod nano 2nd generation in PINK... haw haw haw... (haha) for christmas. I guess I'm not suppose to know about it BUT in not knowing I want to know more... how do they work??

Do I need to buy itunes for this thing OR can I still download music onto it how I normally do with my last mp3 player.

Aww.. I love my brother. I love my music and my current mp3 player is so shameful the thing looks to have had it.

Anyway, if anyone knows how these things work... it would be wonderful to know more!

You don't need to buy iTunes cards, but you WILL need to download the iTunes program. The iTunes program is basically your "one-stop" organizer for all things iPod. It's a little frustrating to use at first, but you'll eventually get the hang of it. And it can also convert CDs into the iPod format.

Once you load MP3s onto your iPod, it will convert it to the iPod format. However, you'll need a third party video converter (I suggest Videora Ipod Converter, which is free; And the video files are surprisingly small and of excellent quality), if you wish to store your AVI, MPG, WMV or DVD files on your iPod.

When I switched computers though, in order to sync new tracks and videos, iTunes removed ALL CONTENT from my Ipod just to sync the new files, since my iPod library wasn't stored on my new PC. But I can restore most of the missing content as I have back-ups on CDs/DVDs and USB.

Enjoy your ipod.
