I happen to know the bible pretty well. The 3 Wise men were told to report back to Herod, who was evil, not kill the child. This of course they did not do so this is what drove Herod mad and made him kill all the newborn babies. |

So Herod was a happy well balanced man who truly wanted to 'go and worship the child'? If that was the case, why did he turn so savagely against many babies and kill them because the Magi decided not to and not report back him?. That means either the Magi were wicked for not reporting back . .or Herod was wicked for his unwarranted rage agains inncocents. The Magi knew Herods motives were bad from the start. Newborn babies is not the correct term either, it was the death of boys up to 2 years old. Matthew 2 : 12 magi get a divine warning to go home a different way. Matthew 2 : 16 Herod knows he is outwitted, orders boys up to 2 years old to be killed. |
