My sister who is 6 years older than me, entered a Central West NSW ABC Radio competition. http://www.abc.net.au/centralwest/stories/s1857050.htm to find out more. They were flown down from Orange to Sydney Friday morning and will be flown back there Sunday afternoon. She was thrilled. I have the keys to my new unit which has come up looking fantastic with a coat of paint and a few things fixed. I am so happy and excited now. I met the guy in No.4 who owns a mini foxy and now an 8 week old budgie and an aquarium full of goldfish! The lease agreement says no pets.... my two budgies will be allowed (caged pets are not the same as dogs and cats) apparently. I came away from meeting 'wishbone' the foxy with a memento on my good thongs which I was not happy about. Dirty little dog. I got in my car and went 'what the hell is that smell' OMG I jumped out and got most of it off on some grass but you know how it is... the smell stays...ewwwww. The new very tight woven low carpet in the loungeroom looks and feels great. I was unhappy they hadn't painted the main bedroom white yet! It is sky blue and not my fav colour. New sunshine yellow curtains with backing on in the loungeroom, lacy curtains in the kitchen, bathroom and main bedroom but in the bedroom I intend to put some over the top of the lacy as it gets the morning sun. Everyone else has airconditioners in their windows at the front of their units. I can afford a cooling only (don't need heating up here) split system aircon. which I may ask permission to do after summer when I can get one cheap(er). The brown folding doors on the laundry in a cupboard have been painted white and look fabulous and lift that area. My daughter is still away until thursday or friday coming up, and I just had to tell someone so you guys have caught the full brunt of my excitement. It all starts in ernest on Monday folks and I will be offline then also until saturday 24th. I contacted my 'friend-with-benefits' in a text today and told him I will be in my new place from this time next week and he said 'See you soon' and that has made me very happy and excited as I've not 'seen' him for 8 weeks now I bought the new fish and chips meal from Red Rooster today and it was yummo. |

Thanks nannyfan7 I only have just over 24 hours until my Internet will be switched off, 1.7 days to be precise. Where I am moving to there are two rows of 4 little units each and at the front of one row there is a cute cottage where a very elderly couple live. Ivy, a lady of 93 lives in number 3 of the other row of units. She has the cutest little wire haired terrier who is 12 years old. I noticed one of the dog's front legs was badly deformed. I mentioned it and she took great pride in telling me what happened. A man who used to live in the units accidently ran over 'scruffy's' forpaw. Obviously broken the guy 'apparently' took scuffy to the vets and the vet said there was nothing they could do (what a load) so poor scruffy was left in agony and unecessarily lame because of it. By the time Ivy took him to the vet herself there was nothing left to do but amputate, which she said no to. Obviously the guy who harmed scruffy did NOT go to any vet because all it would of taken was setting the bones and putting the leg in a splint or cast and cost a considerable amount of money. Good grief I could of made a splint and made scruffy happier and more mobile. Scruffy now walks on what is essentially his wrist while his foot just dangles around. I was absolutely gobsmacked and walked away from Ivy after listening to the story. She has a cockatiel inside her unit, god knows how she cares for it. Some people should not have 'pets', honestly. I think I will change my signature for a while to reflect how I feel. |

I recorded it too, I'm going to try and make it into a DVD.
I think it explained a lot that I didn't know about the case, I found it very interesting. |

I am going to fail modelling and problem solving ahhhhhhhhh! (maths) It's like, very few questions, you get marked A - E on each, you can get A+ in knowledge and procedures, A on every question in modelling and then get stuck on one Question, do it wrong, get an E on it, thus meaning you cannot get more than a D overall! Ahhhhhhhhh the system is so flawed! so is the stupid OP system! |

I couldnt find a thread on this so I may as well talk about it quickly here. I just got the new playstation 3 today and it is totally cool. I think my eyes have gone square from playing it. The $1000 price tag was a bit rich but I am happy with it. Anyone else out there got one or thinking of getting one. |

I can't understand the logic behind anybody paying $1000 for that thing or paying full price for any console for that matter. If you gave it a month or two, they would have stripped a hundred or so dollars off the price, and by then some good games would have been released, and the launch titles would be on special. But if you're rich, I suppose it doesn't really matter. |
