All too true.
Now we have to keep a spot warm here for Robert Mugabe.

You will note that there is no emotion in the post nor any 'obituary' type info.

He passing can be seen as a positive for those who will now survive since he can no longer harm anybody. *shrugging smilie needed*

Yvonne de Carlo dies
January 11, 2007 - 10:15AM

Actress Yvonne De Carlo, who starred in films opposite Clark Gable and Charlton Heston but won enduring fame as wife of a Frankenstein monster-like character in the TV series The Munsters, has died at age 84, her son said on Wednesday.

Bruce Morgan said his mother, who played Moses' wife in Cecil B. De Mille's 1956 epic The Ten Commandments, died of natural causes on Monday at the Motion Picture & Television Fund's Retirement Home in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills.

I loved the Munster's and Yvonne's character Lily so much. She had a lot to put up with, with Herman as her husband!

'Conley died Sunday of stomach cancer at her Los Angeles home surrounded by family and friends, Eva Demirjian, a publicist for the CBS serial drama, said Monday. She was diagnosed with cancer about three months ago, and the show's producers were deciding how to portray the fate of her character, Demirjian said. "She constantly entertained us with every move, every breath, every inflection of her voice. Whether she was the villain, the damsel, the sexpot or the comedienne, Darlene was brilliant," said Bradley P. Bell, the show's executive producer. She started on the long-running soap in December 1988, playing the flamboyant, red-haired chief of Spectra Creations and rival to Forrester Fashions. Her portrayal of Spectra earned her two Daytime Emmy nominations for best supporting actress and six Soap Opera Digest awards' (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070116/ap_on_re_us/obit_conley_2)

Mamas and the Papas' Denny Doherty dies
Monday Jan 22 12:17 AEDT

AP - Denny Doherty, one-quarter of the 1960s folk-rock group the Mamas and the Papas, known for their soaring harmony on hits like California Dreamin' and Monday, Monday, has died at the age of 66.

His sister Frances Arnold said the singer-songwriter died on Friday at his home near Toronto, Canada after a short illness.

He had suffered kidney problems following surgery last month and had been put on dialysis, Arnold said.

The group burst on the international scene in 1966 with the top 10 smash California Dreamin'.

The Mamas and the Papas broke new ground by having women and men in one group at a time when most singing groups were single sex.

John Phillips, the group's chief songwriter; his wife, Michelle; and another female vocalist, Cass Elliot, teamed with Doherty.

Monday, Monday hit No.1 on the charts and won the band a Grammy for best contemporary group performance.

Among the group's other songs were I Saw Her Again Last Night, Go Where You Wanna Go, Dancing Bear and versions of I Call Your Name and Dedicated to the One I Love.

"What made the group special was their haunting and sumptuous harmony singing," according to The Rolling Stone Illustrated History of Rock & Roll.

"Everybody used to think that John Phillips, who wrote the songs, was also the main voice of the group, but it wasn't - it was the angelic voice of Denny Doherty," said Larry Leblanc, Canadian editor of Billboard magazine.

"He was often overlooked but it was really his voice that carried the group."

In 1998, the Mamas and the Papas were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The group's catchy sound was a blend of '60s upbeat pop and the folk music that had surged in popularity early in the decade.

Shock more like. I have just popped on the net for a few minutes before going to the supermarket. Saw the pic of Anna Nicole on one of the sites I get my news from and after reading the headlines all I could say was 'Oh my god' repeatedly! The story I have now read is at...

She was one crazy mixed up woman and I think just maybe her little girl will cope better in this world if she hasn't got her mother's influence. Sad I know but I believe it to be true.

I agree with you Suzi...it is incredibly sad that a poor baby is now motherless but with her mother's crazy world I think she would be better off without her influence.  Her son fell under his influence and paid the price.  I'm always sad when anyone dies whether they be celebrity or not but really no-one can live her lifestyle and expect to live to an old age.  And being cynical here but I have never trusted her lawyer "husband".  I'm not sure what he expected to get out of his relationship with Anna Nicole and there appears to be doubts as to the paternity of the baby (going by the media reports).  I hope the little one gets to have a life all children deserve free of all the media speculation.  Anna Nicole lived a hard and fast life but she was human just the same.

Yesterday while on the stairs, I saw a Man who wasn't there.  He wasn't there again today...I wish that He would go away!!
