Paula could host a show called 'The Neighbours from hell' where people like Paula and Rob can go on and talk to other people with similar experiences. What a relief it must be now Paula!
The house in which those awful people lived was in a right mess. It's taken the poor landlord 3 days to get it back to a habitable state. He's wary of renting it out again and says he might sell it.
without sounding like a snob, you do need to keep the price up to attract the right sort of people, however money does not equal class, you could still end up with bogans, but they might have a bit more money, at least they could affors to pay the damage they might cause.

Wouldn't the World be a far better place if everyone just thought like I do
yes to me Class is speaking well, being well mannered, polite, etc those values that we seem to be losing, that is class not just money, see I have class and no money, just ask me and I will tell you .

As regular's on this forum know I moved into a 'new' unit 9 weeks ago. We have 4 little units all joined in a row. I am in Number 2. The woman in No.1 moves out this weekend OMG most days living so close to her, have almost driven me mad. She minds the little boy, four going on five, who used to live in my unit with his mother and towards the end, his abusive drunk of a father. The reason she had to leave was because the Landlords who are also the Real Estate told her he (the drop kick father of the child) could not live here and evicted them! Anyhooo, Number One minds this child who is just that, a child, she yells at him from the moment she brings him inside to the moment he leaves, except when he is asleep. Not just yells but sometimes litterally screams. This can go from 6:30am to 6pm. She is a poor excuse for a mother herself having walked out on her marriage and her three children before they were 10 years of age. She smacks him, very hard and threatens him all day long. She tells him to 'sit down and shut-up' all day long. She tells him 'Don't touch that' all day long and then she'll give him an order (sit down, get inside, whatever...) and if he has not reacted before she draws breath she screams at him. I just hope the new tenant, a middle aged woman like myself and the one moving out, doesn't mind kids or talks loudly like this one does. God, I am OVER IT. The young man and woman sharing the two bedroom unit in the next door duplex have been given their marching orders. So in the next week or so I will have new neighbours surrounding me! They better behave. The existing woman in number one is moving in to share with the woman, (who is the same age as her own adult children) the child she minds, and the drop kick waste of space father, who BTW doesn't want her living with them. This poor little boy will be in an even worse situation than he already is because his mother, his father and the woman who minds him all yell and scream at him the same way. They all punish him physically too. This child has no chance of leading a productive normal happy life.

Well, we've had new neighbours for about 5 weeks now and the street is back to its normal quiet, respectable best.
