Problem is.... my bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs and the fence is high but not that high, lol. I shower by candlelight in the evening, and the bedroom is almost in darkness (it's a two-way bathroom so has an entry into my bedroom) and I stand in front of the fan taking my time as I am pretty damn sure no-one can see unless they're purposely peeking!  Oops... too much information?
BTW I love my new fence!

We have really nice neighbours, in fact our street is a bit like Ramsay Street, everyone is around the same age, and get along really well, which for me is a nice change as growing up I moved around a lot and never really got to know my neighbours.

My experience is the exact opposite to yours, Jules. When I was growing up it was in the same house in the same street. My parents lived in that home for 40 plus years. The neighbours were like extended family. We had a park (very neglected) opposite my house and tennis courts (clay) where I remember all the adults playing on certain evenings and us kids playing in the tennis shed and surrounds. We had a ball. Since becoming an adult and living in rental homes/apartments it is not the same. There are six townhouses where I live and only two owner occupiers in those six. Tenants come and go so frequently. I have been in this unit for 5 plus years now and the next tenant  here for any length of time is my good friend, her sister and her little girl and that is for 3 and a half years. Everyone else has stayed only 6 to 12 months at a stretch.

Well, good news from number 11; the mother tells us that she has to make sure the kids behave otherwise she'll be looking for a new home.  Seems so many have complained that the landlord (her brother hehe) has threatened her with eviction!

I think we are on the 6 pm news tonight.  Neither Rob nor I will be on camera though.  I didn't really want the students I teach knowing my address.

The street was on it, even our house, but neither of us were "visible".  Our comments were used though.

I hate our nabours, They all have dogs and one of them throughs their dogs pretzals over the fence in to our yard,
The others are some teenage punks that ride their snowmachine up and down the road in the night.
The other buldozed their yard and put in a lame leaking ice rink, so each year the thing leakes down the hill into our garage and no one elses. We might have to Sue them if it's not taken care of.

Alaska hey! G'day mate. Welcome to our friendly forums XXX. I think you are by far the most far flung of our members. Where I live in Australia it's like 'snow... what's that?' Your neighbours sound very selfish.

I have to move out of my rented townhouse that has been my home for 6 years. The owner wants it for himself (how dare he)
I have found a place in a lovely complex about 20 minutes south of here on the Sunshine Coast. The real estste are yet to have an inspection so I have only checked it on the net. Now don't laugh BUT it is in an over 50's complex (retirement village) and since I turned 51 last October, I qualify!
You can view this place by going to...
http://www.realestate.com.au/c.....amp;fmt=&header=
It even has a swimming pool in the village. New neighbours that aren't teenagers sound pretty good to me! (Sorry to all the teens on this forum, who really aren't like any teens I have ever met so do not come under the regular umbrella of 'teens')

Hi from me too, XXX and that sounds like bad planning on the part of your local government/council.  In fact, was there planning with regards to the rink?

The villa looks awesome, Suzi.  Hope it all turns out.

I have become very impatient and used to doing things at my own pace and on my own. Is that as bad as it sounds? God, I don't want to be 'old' but listening to 6 young adults over the back in the neighbouring units playing pingpong on a table in their carport area on weekends, day and night, drives me nuts. I refuse to close my windows in the heat. They have to yell and scream the entire time they play! It gets to the point where I cannot even concentrate to read in bed. I will enjoy living in a quieter environment. I am determined to get the villa in the retirement village
