Quoted from Paula
As long as you don't keep me and others awake until 4 am with loud, drunken parties (every weekend), urinate in my garden, blow up my letterbox (5 times), bang on my door at 1 am and abuse me, throw rocks on my roof while standing on yours, defacate in the street I live in, grafitti my driveway, the road or the park across from my home, throw a party on NYE with 60 rampaging teenagers that spills into the house next door and terrifies the elderly people there...
^^ With this sort of thing happening? Good Lord, no! |

New problem with one of my so called neighbour friends. First of all just as a side story, 2 weeks ago I was quietly shut inside my little unit a million miles away from 'the world' outside when I had to take some rubbish to my bin. Two of my neighbours called out to me as I emerged through my back door. Not hearing what they said I began walking towards them and said 'beg your pardon' to which they called out 'are you alright?' I said yes and asked why they asked me that. They said one of them had heard a woman getting beaten up and screaming, thinking it was me she went and got the other neighbour who I thought was my good friend, and they were standing at the back of his place listening to what they thought was me being beaten. They did not attempt to intervene or call the police. They just stood listening The woman being beaten happened to be directly over the back fence. I heard her get hit once, scream once and I rang 000 and got the police out here to sort it out. Funnily the first police to arrive were on flash push bikes and were male and female. Then a divi van arrived and a police car (all for a domestic!) Flash forward to yesterday.... Across the road on the nature strip (council land) is a pile of rubbish consisting of a piece of a modular lounge, a broken pedestal fan, a queen sized mattress, 2 car tyres and some other car parts and 2 car seats, all stuffed and only good for the rubbish tip. I hadn't seen the rubbish until yesterday afternoon but two of my visitors from Saturday and Sunday had mentioned it to me. When I saw it I immediately knew who had put it there, my so called friend from number 4! One of my heroes from two weeks ago, NOT. I took 2 pics of the rubbish. My other neighbour friend from Number 1 came out the back not long after while I was still outside and I mentioned the rubbish. She said sometimes people came and got the things for themselves. I told her it's against the law to put rubbish on the street. She said someone might take it away. I mentioned the two heavy storms we had had since the stuff had been put there and she still insisted someone might want the 'crap' and take it away. When I said I was ringing the council today about it she said 'We should go and tell him' so off we toodled to number 4. I asked him why he had put his rubbish across the street on the sidewalk. He told me not to worry about it. My other neighbour then said 'Suzi is going to ring the council' and the culprit said 'why? It's none of your business' I said it is my business because it is against the law, he yelled at me, telling me to mind my own business and that it has nothing to do with me, I raised my voice as only a mother who has had experience of frightening the heebyjeebys out of their kids can do and said. 'It's against the law, your breaking the rules, you have no right to do dump your rubbish on the street, I have pictures and I will be contacting the Council and the real estate tomorrow!' walked away, came inside, shut my windows, locked my doors. I have contacted the council but have no intention of contacting the Real Estate. I just wanted him to realise he has to do what other people do and organise it to go to the tip. If everyone put their old rubbished furniture, broken electrical goods and car parts out on the sidewalk then we would all be living in squalor. For goodness sakes use your brain. So, after almost one year I am sick of living in this place where gossip and inuendo are a part of every day life. Where telling lies and bitching about your neighbours is par for the course. Any wonder I close myself up in my little unit and keep to myself. I had already gotten to the point where my No.4 neighbour was giving me the pips because he is the MOST negative person I have ever met. My next door neighbour in Number 1 was also giving me the pips because she is 'always right', prickly and opinionated so.... Suzi is an island. Now I know why people keep to themselves and don't make friends of their neighbours. Sad really. |

I have a very similiar incident just the other week Suzih, except I didn't catch who actually dumped the rubbish. It was just dumbed in a spare council block/walkway in the middle of the night - rubbish, old furniture, grocery trolley etc. I contacted the council the next day and it was gone within the week. I do wonder how they could follow it up and catch the culprit, unless they left evidence behind.. |

Like a receipt or something. Even then you couldn't be sure. I could not understand his attitude regarding it though. As if was entitled, as if the law didn't/doesn't apply to him. Why then, put it out in the dark if you don't believe it is illegal? Upon going outside earlier on after the first post regarding this, I saw that he has brought the garbage across the street, neatly piled it on our curb, OMG, he still doesn’t ‘get it’. The mattress has gone elsewhere **shrugs** but the rest is all still there.

Yes.. looks pretty much like my disaster zone that was left behind near me. It really makes you think whether they are fully sane doing this? Do they not understand how society operates? |

Are they just leaving there or will it be rubbish collection soon? I guess, the tires could be useful lol. Annoying neighbours much though? Mine are mainly old and like, snobby, perfect lawn types. Across the road is the dodgy house though haha. It's a council house, we had the druggo violent guy, then the guy who was on the run and one night the police staked out the house, all down the street they were hiding!! Now we have a better family who only had occasional fights and a few broken windows |

No Dara, there is no free council roadside rubbish collection on the calendar. He just did it because he feels he can. He pretended it wasn’t against the law but as I pointed out to the lady from the Council, why then did he take it out, across the road in the dark of night? The stuff is still there drenched and getting even more drenched from the monsoonal rains we are having! The Tyres…. Dara, they have to be disposed of properly and they are old and have no grip left. They are useless! When you take them to our local tip they charge you for each separate tyre! Plus you cannot throw them on the conveyor belt at the tip, with the other rubbish, you have to set them on the ground next to/behind where you parked so the workers can put them in a proper receptacle for proper disposal. People who dump rubbish anywhere but the local council tip are IMHO bogans and ferals. No friend of mine dumps crap on their front nature strips. He did and he is no longer my friend. Tough love! |

Well that's a coincidence because it was actually waste collection day in our area today.....the whole suburb looked so feral for a couple of weeks but now that it is all gone its all clean and nice again. I can understand why you would be so annoyed too Suzi. |

Well, I received a breach today. In response to the altercation with the neighbour responsible for the dumped furniture etc he has written a letter and had all the neighbours sign it (9 in all) and it says....
Quoted Text
Susan,
I am sorry to report that we have received several complaints re your interfering with the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of a neighbour.
May I suggest that should you have any issue with any tenant in your complex or the neighbouring corner complex then you advise this Agency accordingly as we manage both and it is within our responsibility to ensure all state and local laws are complied with.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time when we can be of further service.
Regards
I am still shaking from this. I rang the RE straight away and spoke to my Landlord who is also my RE. In my 20 years of renting NEVER have I had a breach, ever. Less than one year here and I hate the neighbourhood. I love my unit and I love the 'low' rent but I cannot stand the backstabbing, gossiping, lying neighbours. Stuff all the neighbours, I am officially an Island. Just to add....Latest development I went out to check my mail just before noon and discovered all the 'junk' gone. I was very happy and came in to ring the Council to tell them the mess had been cleaned up and to not bother sending anyone around. The lady told me that a couple of council people came around on Monday and told the tenant responsible for the 'junk' to clean it up or be fined. So, in retaliation to that he wrote a letter to the Real Estate who also happens to be our Landlord regarding myself and got other tenants signatures as well as his own. Petty petty petty |

Things have just escalated badly and I am in a pretty bad way. Just took my bin back out for collection as it was tipped over and not collected this morning. The rubbish dumper was out there talking to another neighbour and verbally attacked me. He said things that we had spoken about during our friendship in confidence to each other and has told every single neighbour our private conversations. Leaving out of course his role in everything. He told me he and everyone else want me out and they are going to get rid of me. I've not spoken to any neighbours for 12 days and yet he is still on about it. He knows of my health problems and my depression and virtually told me to 'go and take your pills, take double' damn just when my blood pressure was going down This must be why people don't contact the police or authorities about things because of the repercussions they may receive. My friend Shelley just rang me and told me to take a restraining order out on him. I hadn't even thought of that. Anyone got any ideas? I cannot afford to move, I cannot afford to pay more than the $165. I am paying right now per week. |

Thanks for your support! I have a splitting headache but have settled somewhat. I could hardly type for most of today. He actually told me to have a stroke and die and the double tablet dose comment. I do wish I had a little voice activated recorder. The RE and Police would of been happy to hear what was said today. I had a little talk with my 'guardian angel' (that little spirit inside all of us) and was told to sit tight, it will all blow over and everyone will get sick of Dean's antics. Maybe not this week, or next but people will get bored with his vendetta. Best take some anti-inflammatory tabs for my stress headache which is becoming blinding. Thanks again nannyfan7 and Paula. |

4:15 this morning (am) banging on the security grill of my bedroom window woke me up... I chuckled and went back to sleep. Put my bin out for special collection at 10 to 6am. It was emptied mid-to-late morning Shelley took me to local shops at 2:30pm in scorching 39deg heat. When we get back we have a casual welcoming committee. Dean and Eva. Eva says hi to Shelley, Shelly says hi back then Dean starts..... blahblahblah..... you should hear what Suzi has been saying about you.... blahblahblah. Shelley told him "you need to do some growing up" and he said 'Suzi says your stupid.... says your a bad hairdresser..... blah blah' we came in my place firmly shutting the doors on their still speaking voices. I said to Shelley ' you're a bad hairdresser and that is why you do my hair'. When Shell left 2 hours later she left via the front door, the side they were NOT waiting for her on. Wankers. That AVO is looking better and better. This man, Dean is almost 39, please tell me who acts like that at that age? As my BF said to me today when he called to see how I am, 'he will bring himself unstuck'. |
