I can't list more than two, but I really like anything by Rob Thomas and I like the song Because of you but I dunno who sings it. Well I think that's what it's called anyhow. |

Because of you is by Kelly Clarkson, btw. Geez, I have to agree with many of your song choices - Love Moby, Dido, Rob Thomas, The Killers,Missy Higgins... I also like heaps of Dance.. and whatever's on the Radio (SAFM) |

Have you caught the new tribute album to Rubber Soul? It's called This Bird Has Flown and it's a whole bunch of cool artists doing the entire album track-by-track as a tribute ...it's been 40 years since Rubber Soul was released...it's the feature album on Triple J this week and sounds pretty good from what I've heard This is the track listing 01 Drive My Car - The Donnas 02 Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) - The Fiery Furnaces 03 You Won't See Me - Dar Williams 04 Nowhere Man - Low 05 Think for Yourself - Yonder Mountain String Band 06 The Word - Mindy Smith 07 Michelle - Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals 08 What Goes On - Sufjan Stevens 09 Girl - Rhett Miller 10 I'm Looking Through You - Ted Leo 11 In My Life - Ben Lee 12 Wait - Ben Kweller 13 If I Needed Someone - Nellie McKay 14 Run for Your Life - Cowboy Junkies |

If you listen to podcasts at all fajo there's one called Old Wave Radio New 80's Music that you would probably enjoy...modern, indie artists but the songs are very reminiscent of the 80's. It's funky.
As for me this week I've been playing my new purchases that I bought for my 6 months of having quit smoking...Tea & Sympathy from Bernard Fanning and You Could have it So Much Better by Franz Ferdinand.
But I did hit my 80's playlist in my iPod a coupla times last week...some great stuff there |
