I have just recently read the fantasy series wheel of time and was wondering if anyone else here had also. |
| We rode on the winds of the rising storm, we ran to the sound of thunder. We danced among the lightning bolts, and tore the world asunder. |

I haven't heard of the series or read the books. Tell us a bit about them and who the series is written by. |

Ditto. Seriously, I've heard of the series and have seen some people rave about it, but know nothing at all about the books themselves. Do tell more. |

The series was written by Robert Jordan and has become my new favourite series of books. This site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wheel_of_Time tells the basic premise of the story without giving anything away. Plus there are heaps of other links at the bottom of the page. There were quite a few simularities between this series and The Lord of The Rings but still different enough to be entertaining and it starts to change quite a bit as the series goes on. |

I loved the wheel of time series, my only issue is that he died before he finished it! There is a final book in the makings at the moment where his wife and son (i think are finishing the series. I hope it is good. |
