I'm probably clutching at straws here but Seven are definitely replacing ACI with something and NOTHING is being promoted yet. It's possible Seven are still deciding and hopefully they will make a good decision. My guess is it will be 24, Bones, or Forensic Investigators.

Well hopefully it is 24. I do agree with u though that Seven would want to replace ACI. But I was thinking maybe they push PB back to 9:30 and 24 at 8:30. Last year 24 got really high ratings and PB has been going downhill lately in ratings so you never know...

24 didn't do too well last year in the ratings. If started off pretty well but Seven kept moving it around. Prison Break is rating around 1.3million which is a very respectable figure so I think they'll keep it there. In the US they have Prison Break followed by 24 and FOX do very well so Seven should do the same.

Basinger has just played opposite Sutherland in thriller The Sentinel and is now considering joining the cast of his TV series for its next season. She says, "I love that show. That would be cool." Sutherland admits he's delighted at the thought of Basinger becoming a regular: "I'm gonna hold her to that." If she signs up for a guest spot, Basinger won't be the only movie star to appear in 24 - Lord Of The Rings actor Sean Astin, Julian Sands and The Mummy villain Arnold Vosloo have joined the cast in the past.

I don't think 24 has been rating all that well lately. You'll just have to wait and see.

All I can say is I have watched every episode that has been shown in the US. It is as good as the best season, by far. The episode I watched last night threw a spanner in the works and I am a little confused but the series is still GREAT. The viewer ratings for Season 5 of 24 are coming in at 9's and above and I have to agree it is top notch writing and acting. The only reason it wouldn't rate well here in Australia is because the programmers stuff up the time slots and days it will be aired.

If there wasn't already many posts discussing this next season I would agree with you MP BUT there are many posts on Season 5 and discussing what dopey asked. Cheers

As you would see, I was kind of agreeing with you, that this thread was pointless because it had already been discussed several times.

Just sometimes, a program will require a separate thread for a separate reason for a separate season for a separate incident for a separate something

24 season 5 will premiere mid-year so look for it around June/July.

And this is the one season where you cannot miss an episode.

I actually made a mistake before. I said the fifth season so far, up to episode 18,  has been character driven. That is true but once it gets to about episode 12 the plot gets VERY complex. It all makes perfect sense but you have to keep your attention directly on the show otherwise you will completely lose the plot.

Believe me, this is the BEST season yet. If 24 does win Best Drama Series at the Emmy's this year I would be very surprised.
