Run, Lola, Run a german made film spoken in german with English sub-titles. I enjoyed it once I got into it and got over Lola's boyfriend, Manni whinging and being pessimistic. Lola on the other hand is on a mission!

I wondered about that one! I read the reviews and thought it was too much of a stretch of my imagination. I'll put that on my list 'to see one day'.

War of the Worlds to pass the time away alone. Nothing like aliens before bed time! I did have a stomach turning moment when you realise the red sinew-y blood-y vein-y stuff all over the landscape and everywhere is really the left overs humans the ET's have 'consumed', yucky.
I enjoyed it even if it was a bit schmaltzy at the end. As much as I want to really really dislike Tom Cruise, when he's acting, I forget what a goose he is.

Sony Tropfest 2007 - Some solid films here, as well as some relatively high budget stuff as well. Although it would have been interesting to see the other 500 or so entries just to compare them with the finalists. My only gripe is that almost all of the 16 films on the disc had crude/vulgar humour in them (i.e. releasing bowels , farting, vomiting)

I'm a little surprised that there are so many of them in stores, which is a good thing. And the RRP is $29.95, so most stores will sell it even cheaper than that per season.

I watched Starksy and Hutch, the new version last night. It had some funny moments. I'm still debating whether Owen Wilson is a bad actor or whether he was poorly directed. Dunno!!

I thought that film was quite funny, I think Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson work well together, just as well considering they are in so many movies together

I wouldn't compare him to Pacino but he does OK

The other night I watched 'little Miss Sunshine'. The line up for Best Actor at the recent Oscar's must of been woeful if they gave the Oscar to Alan Arkin. The whole thing was bland. Classified as a Comedy/Drama I didn't see anything funny about it and it wasn't very dramatic either! I usually like this kind of movie and really though with this cast it would satisfy my tastes but... no.

The Simpsons - Season Nine

During the 'A' commentary for The City of New York Vs Homer Simpson, it's stated that the episode is still not syndicated in America due to Homer being at the World Trade Centre. I think it's been played by 10 several times since 2001. That's my pointless tivia contribution done for the day.... maybe
