White Noise with Michael Keaton.
Spook thriller based upon EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) Fascinating concept, but unfortunately not given the respect it should perhaps deserve. Keaton was good with what he had to work with, but the whole movie was lacking..... something.

The last DVD I watched was Minority Report. Great visuals, but one I think I have to watch again to fully appreciate it.
Next up is Japanese Story with one of my favourite actresses Toni Collette. Just trying to find a spare moment to see it! |

I couldn't stand most of Shaun of the dead. It had it's moments but not my kind of humour. The person I watched it with thought it was hilarious. The last DVD I watched was 'Constantine' which was better than I thought it would be and I love that genre. Anyone ever see 'Saw' now that was totally original and wierd but I was not blown away by it. I am hard to please when it comes to Movies. Can't wait for my birthday next month when 'Kingdom of Heaven' with Orlando Bloom is released and I am going to buy it as a present to myself. |

Still haven't seen Shaun of the Dead, but want to! The latest video I've watched would've been Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels except I haven't finished watching it. It's just not holding my interest. |

I actually liked Shaun of the Dead...but I also saw Dawn of the Dead which I liked even more and which Shaun was a take off of. Today I watched "Snapped" which is a seriously whacked movie and I watched "Raise Your Voice" again with Hilary Duff. I lover her movies!! |
| Yesterday while on the stairs, I saw a Man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today...I wish that He would go away!! |

I saw the recent re-make of Dawn of the Dead at the cinema and was surprised at how much I didn't dislike it, if you get my drift. Finally managed to watch Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. I'm assured it's a comedy, but I didn't find it all that funny. Probably got something to do with all the violence and the high body count. |

I am watching White Noise later on today, but the last DVD I watched was Russell Coight's Great Aussie Adventures, Series 1 and 2. |

I watched House of Flying Daggers. It had loads of great fighting scenes, most of which were much more beleivable than movies such as Hero but it still of course asks the viewer to accept a lot of things that are far fetched and succeeded with me. The story was a bit confusing at the end and I finally decided that it wasn't so much a matter of confusion, but that it just wasn't all that great. It was in fact kind of bad despite keeping my interest for the majority of the time. Toward the end, it was sort of clear that it was going either be really, really clever or be sort of a let down. It wasn't clever but tried very hard to be. The scenery was really nice. It's not that often I find myself thinking about how breathtaking the filming locations are but I did in this movie. Overall it was a good watch and despite the plot letting me down the fighting scenes were plentifull and well done and despite the let down at the end I was kept interested for most of the movie. and 1/2 Margaret? |

Decided to watch The Sixth Sense again after all the hurrah on another thread. Still a classic tear-jerker. |

Only 9 more sleeps until "Kingdom of Heaven" comes out on DVD. YAY!!!! Well David (AKA Meandean) I have yet to see this movie (House of Flying Daggers) so I can't really say, so I will defer my star giving for tonight. Goodnight, see you next week. |

The Upside Of Anger - brilliant drama/comedy - so well written.... 9/10
Crash - a dig at racial issues in the US - should have been better than it is, but does have one or two little twists worth watching for. 5/10
Code 46 - Sci Fi drama with Tim Robbins. I'm a s.u.c.k.e.r for this genre of film, so I may be biased with my rating ....but 9/10!!!! |
